Guest | Im just getting into this whole edit thing, and i have major problems with the blizzard world editor. I was just wondering what WE everyone else uses. Could you drop a download link in here, because the threads are getting quite confusing with newer versions of programs and what not. And please dont just say "i use (insert name Jadedragon doesnt know and can't find anywhere here)" If you can help me, a thousand thankyous. If you can't im sorry i wasted your time on this, but don't flame. YOu have better things to do with your life then ripping people who ask for help. |

I use a combination of Zepir's map editor and UMSWE 3.5. UMSWE 3.5 is basically great for just about everything, except doing what the zepir's can do - which is make great tiles that exceed the normal boundries for a WE map. For example you can make a huge map, assign properties to it (e.g. 380 x 340, with 20 custom tiles), and you can do huge areas of land at once, instead of painting in little pieces at a time. So generally I create the map, do the properties of it, and the tileset on zepir's, then open up the UMSWE 3.5 "NB" version to do the basic changes, then move over to UMSWE 3.5 "TM" to do the more advanced modelling changes (for example using custom models etc). |
