No (unless you use dummy spellbooks and stuff). Use search! |

You can give Heroes normal abilities in addition to Hero ones. You'd be handling it all with triggers, so you could use a SpellBook ability with the red + icon for the learn ability card, and use triggers to give different abilities once they use said skill. |

Spellbooks are pretty much the only way to go. Ask around. |

As far as icon space, there are the 4 spaces on the bottom and two in the middle. As far as I know, you cannot remove icons. This means you can have 6 visible abilities excluding spellbooks. Using spellbooks you could have almost unlimited number, but then they would require two hotkeys (one to open the spellbook and one for the ability itself) if you use the search function, you can use spellbooks to add abilities and "cover" them so they still have an effect but don't show up. Here's some things you want to consider if you push that limit: 1. no two spells have the same hotkey, or the hotkeys of the standard commands (s, p, a, h, etc...). Nothing is more noobish than not being able to hotkey a Fireball because it also matches Frenzy 2. no two spells, even if custom, can be based off the same spell (unless you use channel, which can modify it's base ID). The game will think they are the same abilities and actually not fire the one you click. Had that happen with a mapmaker who made two abilities based on shadow strike, and no matter what you could only use one. |

You can, but it limits your unit's ability to do... well, alot of things. It's impractical in most cases. |

Within different spellbooks, you can use the same hotkey and base it off of the same ability. |
