I need practice using photoshop so i need your help. If you would like a signature, post a desription of what you want and i will get it done. I am not a pro, but i do have plenty of practice. Signatures will be done easiest to the hardest, most will take 1 hour to 3 days. Ill post a few ive done on other forums. If you can please provide links to renders, fonts, brushes you would like me to use. Also include a slightly detailed description. All my signatures are 400x130, so if you would like a custom size tell me in the description. Ok start requesting. To the mods, if this is in the wrong section let me know. I dont mind if you move it.

Heres some of my work so you can see the quality.

and your posting why? if you dont have a request keep quiet. also there not all done with filters. most have brushwork. and any person who is even decent with photoshop will tell you that its real hard to do anything without using at least one filter.

I suppose you're pretty bad with Photoshop then.
If you were any decent, you're wouldn't use ANY filters.

Don't try to lie to me, I made signatures years ago.

you're both a little right and a little wrong.

Tyrant knows his photoshop, hes an excellent texture artist and knows what hes talking about.

Zieg also has a point in the use of filters. However, when you can see that a filter has been used, its bad use of filters, thats as easy as it is. Personally, all i use is the unsharp mask every now and then. Most of my spectaculair and magical effects i do with layer effects and brushes.

Allthough i must admit, sometimes a combination of filters can provide a nice texture to overlay or something.

But, what you did is reather horrible. You did some grazy shit with the text that makes it both ugly and barely readable. If you want effects like that either get a font that looks like it from www.dafont.com or paint the effect with brushes. This shit looks too random and overall shitty.

These signatures are nothing special, and take verry little creativity or artistical expression.

This forum is for displaying work in progress artworks. Therefore, i am moving this to "the forge", a subforum of discussion and enquieries, where threads like this (where people can request certain artwork) go.

3 of the signatures were made with brushes and layer effects. the filter i use the most often is blur. also lens flare gives a great effect for signatures. the chicken one and the transformers were some of my older stuff and i agree could be better. the zelda one only has blur, to give glow to link the fairy and the border, the rest is layer effects with brush work. besides i said its really hard not to use at least 1 filter, and im right in that respect, either its sharpen or something else. im not claiming to be the best, i made this thread to get more practice. i dont really appreciate being told i suck, im trying to get better and making signatures is the best way for me to learn.

hmmm the only appearance of the word suck in the whole thread is in the last post, sure tyrant was kind of rude, but when you take a look at any work and the work looks good it is very hard to notice even what tool was used.

If you want to practice and improve the best way is to really listen to feedback or at least learn to deal with it, criticism is part of being an artist, I guess after moving the thread to this forum the thread will either get more active towards what you wish or die.

It just looks like some googled images with inner glows, text thrown on top with some effects making it unreadable and your 'trademark' icon in the corner.

Oh and a flare.

Cool.

My advice, stick your image in that avatar box and keep your signature for useful information.

Wow these are great... though... isn't technically this in the wrong section?

dude unless you actually paint with your own hand - and by that I don't mean just to add some darkened stuff here and there and maybe a crack on someone else's artwork; I mean, for example, in that elf signature, which was basically done by Raneman and someone else, it would have been much better and much more honorable if you actually painted that elf and landscape. If all you can do is a collage of stuff made by other people (which is basically what signatures have started to mean) then, dear dude...it's bad. And it will only attract 1337 |\|00|3$.

You don't have to be an expert in Photoshop to know if something is good or not.

Personally, I prefer oddball signatures over signatures with a few found images "photoshopped" together with text on them. Try going for something more original, and you will get better comments.

Ok i got a siganture request:
It should be like the size of your first image shown, with the ROC (Thrall) picture shown. The frame should be some Rune/Orc/Horde-ish. In the right bottom of the picture i want my accont name (Revolve) to be shown with shiny red letters. In the left top i want the text "The Warchief" to be shown, with shiny red letters, but a different red. Hope it's enough info, feel free to ask for more info.
