Fully rigged character - possible to export?

Hello,

I am going to animate a character for Warcraft 3 and would like to know if I can rig (including IK Chains, Dummys, hirarchic linkings etc. etc.) and animate him, and then only export the bones and the mesh to WC3. Or do I have to animate him just by moving and rotating bones?
That would be very tedious and boring work.
I know the IK Baker thing, but does it also know the things i mentioned above?
Thanks in advance,

Sardor

You'll have to use bones only.

Ewwww, no...
I hate to animate only with bones ... it's just so damn much slower ...
Well, I guess i have no choice.
Thank you.

you can use ik chains and dummys(dont use the dummy object though), I dont know what hirarchic linkings is..
you will need to bake them though , wich is not allways easy, specially if you conbine biped+maxbones. I made a guide, kinda, u can look for it at the tutorials here.

Hierarchic linking is just like max bones, with one bone linked to another and so on. Many children linked to one parent, and yes that's the way you naturally do it in wc3.

I know FK animation can be a pain in the ass, especially when animating the feet because it's hard to make them stay in place. But I came up with a little trick for that: make 3 dummies for the 3 bones of the leg (or as many dummies as you have bones; I said 3 because that's what I generally use: femur, tibia and the foot) and align each dummy to a bone, pivot to pivot, both position and orientation on all x, y and z. And now you basically have that position of the bones memorized. So now when you move your character up and down, all you have to do when it's down is to align the bones to the dummies on all axis. It'll still jiggle a little but it's much easier and faster than aligning them manually.
