Conquest ~ Wrath of Sen'lius

This is a project I've been putting a lot of thought into over the past month, not much has been done but i have many ideas of how to create the game play and story line.

Type: campaign
Era: medieval

Features:
  • mass control over hundreds of units at one time. (no selecting 12 to attack then selecting 12 more etc.)
  • physics, both real time and animation
  • weather system
  • full day/night system
  • and more...
Introduction Story

From the beginning of time the Draconum have ruled over all races, around seventy years ago the races banded together to defeat the Draconum but failed. Now the Draconum have been furious over these past seventy years and have put a threat on the races. If a rebellion starts, they Draconum will crush them before they can gather people to fight. The Draconum have so far kept good watch over all races, but the numbers of each race have grown to more then three times then what they had back in the rebellion era. The races have expanded and have secretly organized them selves for a war. Because of the lack of communication of each race due to the watching Draconum no race knows what others have in store for the Draconum, nor can they trust each other. The time to fight now, it is now that heroes will rise and legends be made. A new era awaits, the era of freedom!

Current open positions:

Modeler(s):
~ Current modelers: Argo, Hey its X
I'm looking for 4-5 modelers, each modeler will be working on one(1) race each. This help unify the same style through out each race. there are four(4) races that need to be modeled, and also need custom doodads and a few large and detailed (more then the normal wc3 model) models that need to be done as well (around 10-14).

Animator(s):
~ Current Animators: Argo
I'm looking for 4-5 animators. one will be working on the doodads/buildings, while the others will be working on finished unit models. If we get more then 4 then they will be working on the large models.

Texture artist(s):
~ Current Texture artists: Argo, revolve
I'll need 4-5 people to make the textures for each race and one(1) to make detailed skins for the large models, doodads and buildings.

Programmer(s):
~ Current Programmers: Argo, Naakaloh

So...you want:

- Physics (and possibly dynamic accuracy).
- A rediculously large number of people to do art for you.

And...you have nothing to show anyone?

Sounds dubious. Sounds very much like another person we know here...not good.

You think only two animators can handle four races and all the doodadery besides?

Something tells me you're not an animator yourself.

Anyway, this project is unlikely to happen in the scope you have imagined (although I wonder how much one can imagine in only one month of thought). Besides the project being nearly GTW-class ambitious, your presentation is subpar. The story summary is poorly written, there's absolutely no information about the races, nothing that would give us even a glimpse of your creative vision. Everybody can say that they'll have 5 races. Presenting 5 races in a way that makes 5 modelers want to bring them to life, that's quite a different thing.

1) cant u transfer most of the animations anyway?
2) what does 'physics' involve, hopefully it doesnt deal with kenetic theory or partical acceperation on a sub atomic level, beucase Blizzard will only disapoint u there...
3) wats a Draconumnum? im not realy sure, im pretty sure its just Netherim, with a differnet name, but u just cant be sure
4) if its a campain how many maps are we talking? how many differnet types of battles will take place? stock battles, CTF type battles, infiltration, give us an overveiw of the missions
5) very few people play campains, so i guess this is just so u can say "yay, i made a campain (well u and 20 other people)", so why not include sum fancy cinematics?

1) No i can't because the animations will involve a replication of physics.
2) Physics will mostly be done in animations, and there will be a few things like people flying into the air and bouncing off walls etc.
3) Draconum are dragon like people.
4) Yes this is a campaign, but I'm not yet sure how many maps and battle will take place. I haven't thought much about this yet. I've mostly been working on the models and ideas for the system.
5) Yes cinematics will be included, and it will also be online. I possibly may run tournaments on Battle.net.

P.S. maybe you should pick up a grammar/English book. (overveiw, campain, wats... etc.)

I already told you I'm not making any commitments; I just said your ideas sounded interesting and I would probably enjoy doing it, and I'd like to try something out; but didn't say that I would definitely work on it. Please do not assume that I am going to be one of the team.
