Help Adding Sound FX

I think this probably goes here, since it's technically scripting i believe.

Anyway, is it possible to add new sound effects into the game? I don't mean voice sets, i mean FX, like the sound the lightning bolt makes and so forth. I know i can replace other FX, but i'd like to see if i can import new ones before i start overwriting stuff left right and center.

Oh, to clarify, i need to have the sound FX inside the model using eventobjects and their funny little codes, so i suppose i need to know if it's possible to add new codes and point them to imported sound files.

If it can be done anywhere, it'll be editing the SLKs and stuff.

But the chances of the sound-related SLKs being replaceable in a map/campaign are low.

Do you need additional lists, or can yuo not just replace existing sounds?

I'd prefer to add additional lists through the .slk's, which is how i would do it i assume, since that way i won't be replacing anything i may need to use later, but if that's not doable then i'll just have to find some obscure sounds with code references and replace them.

Which slk do i need to pull out of the mpq to find which sounds have code references?

It would appear to be a General Development problem :D

It would also appear to be a problem that nobody knows the answer too.

Ah well, hafta find me some obscure sounds.

I know how to replace files and find the codes, what this thread is asking is if there is a way to put NEW codes in pointing to NEW sound files.
