I think this probably goes here, since it's technically scripting i believe. Anyway, is it possible to add new sound effects into the game? I don't mean voice sets, i mean FX, like the sound the lightning bolt makes and so forth. I know i can replace other FX, but i'd like to see if i can import new ones before i start overwriting stuff left right and center. Oh, to clarify, i need to have the sound FX inside the model using eventobjects and their funny little codes, so i suppose i need to know if it's possible to add new codes and point them to imported sound files. |

If it can be done anywhere, it'll be editing the SLKs and stuff. But the chances of the sound-related SLKs being replaceable in a map/campaign are low. |

Do you need additional lists, or can yuo not just replace existing sounds? |

I'd prefer to add additional lists through the .slk's, which is how i would do it i assume, since that way i won't be replacing anything i may need to use later, but if that's not doable then i'll just have to find some obscure sounds with code references and replace them. Which slk do i need to pull out of the mpq to find which sounds have code references? |

It would appear to be a General Development problem :D |

It would also appear to be a problem that nobody knows the answer too. Ah well, hafta find me some obscure sounds. |

I know how to replace files and find the codes, what this thread is asking is if there is a way to put NEW codes in pointing to NEW sound files. |
