Hello!

• First Question :
- Where can i find the TFT Skins like Keal and Illidan with Wings?

• Second Question :
- This "was" my idea for the skinning conquest #12

(I know its fucking bad so i gave it up, but thats like 20% of what i was going to do...)

This is what he truns out in In-Game

The question is, why do the Axe have a "black" thing around it and why do the Portrait turns in to the normal Tauren?

1. war3x.mpq
2.1 Alpha channel. You've obviously killed it somehow.
2.2 And the tauren cheiftain portraits use... different skins? I think Cairne has a duplicate skin, or it's textures\ versus units\orc\etc.

Yes, they changed the model in TFT to use a different skin on the model itself, but they kept the portrait to the old path.
This means just use the old TC model, which... Let me check which it is.
Okay.

"Units\Orc\HeroTaurenChieftain\HeroTaurenChieftain.mdx" uses the texture "Units\Orc\HeroTaurenChieftain\HeroTaurenChieftain.blp" in TFT.
But the portrait for that model still uses "Textures\HeroTaurenChieftain.blp" since they never updated the portrait between ROC and TFT.

"Units\Orc\HeroTaurenChieftainCIN\HeroTaurenChieftainCIN.mdx" uses the texture "Textures\HeroTaurenChieftain.blp" for both the Portrait and the model itself.
This is the model you'll likely want to use.

Also, converting to jpeg and back to blp kills alpha channels.
Make sure you convert either to BMP or TGA when switching extensions.

What's "war3x.mpq"? A Program?

I dident "paint" the skin in JPeG format, I painted em in BMP format then converted it in to BLP.

An MPQ used for TFT. MPQs are like giant compression archives where Blizz stored stuff.
Download Magos editor or some variant, use the MPQ Browser and look through the MPQ "war3x.mpq"
WC3 Viewer can do it too.

Also note, Kael's model uses the normal Blood Mage's skin.

Always, without exception, use the TGA format for textures.

Also, that leafy TC looks reather nice, actually. Did you freehand all of that or did you cnp? If its freehand, you should have finished, you'd have gotten my vote at least.

The leafs in the red rectangle was copied form Tree of Life, the rest is
freehand.

No, you fool! this is a good skin, dont go "giving up".

Everything has been explained so verry clearly.

To "fix" the portrait just work with the roc chieftain model in vieuwer, and use the textures/herotaurenchieftain path, problem solved.

The easyest way to "fix" your alpha trouble is to re-export the blp file from the mpq with wc3viewer, but as a TGA this time so it has a proper alpha channel. Then just CNP your entire texture onto that file. Should be solid.

Give up becouse of these minor setbacks and i swear to god i will rip your from your rep.

Okey :P
I can give it a try but I maybe have said this before but Im not the greatest artist in this world :P (Pretty new on this)

~Edit~

Pssh, if that stuff really is freehand like you say (wich i am still doubfull about, i'd take that as a compliment if i where you) you are allready better then some dudes that have been running around here longer.

You're using other wc3 textures as references right? Looks like you are trying to emulate blizzards style as good as you can, wich i always find to be a positive trait in the wc3 modding business. Right now i dont know how finished you consider wich parts, so i'll keep my comments with me. I'll comment once you've done a little more ;)

Problem 1 : I dont know how to make stones
Problem 2 : I dont know where and how i should shade his chest and head...

~Edit~

Need idea...
What should i do about the Legs? Make the all "Leafy"?
I already got an idea for the totems, i would like to have em as 2 trees(Yes the bushy thing in the top)... but i dont know anything about 3d...
The axe.. should I make it look like a Mace or something?

You seem to have improved a lot since this one.

For the legs I'd suggest you make it a mix of wood and leaf.
And perhaps make them root-like at his hooves.

Just look at ancients as a reference. Its never wrong to refer to existing work. In fact, i consider it the best teacher.
