Was just following a converstation where some people just refused to see how orcs can be assassins. Inspired me to do this since I can clearly see that they fit most perfectly into the role of badass-assassin... hmm... badassassin... Lotsa ass there... Well, anyway... This was rather quick, done in a bout hour and a half to two hours with pencil, inking, scanning and coloring in PS. |

Amazing and hilarious. However--what's that brown thingie above his head and in his hair? It looks kind of like a doll, though I assume it's supposed to be a hair band. |

Whoops... Forgot to shade that in so it fits the theme... That's what you get when you're working in a hurry :D Glad you noticed. |

Love the style, awesome picture, except the orc looks like a 'Toss in badass armor. ![]() |

Orc's skin should be more green. Looks like an undead or something. Nice style though ;) Reminds me of my Rogue ganking lowbies :D |

Yeah, maybe "lowbie ganking" should be better name for this :D As for the skin, it's true it could be a little more green, but then again, according to wow their skin ranges from yellowish-green to blueish-green (dunno english word for those colors... turqoise?) so decided to go with the dark yellower one.. Perhaps made it too yellow. |

Nononono, taurens are way too big, but orcs have longest history of assassination in the history of Warcraft. And I think they fit just perfectly, they don't need to be skinny and small like emo-belfs or manga-gnomes who look like they couldn't hurt a fly with their coarsethin arms. Orcs are badass assassins who (though physically may lack what it takes to stealth) knock you to the ground from behind and thrust their blades through your ribs with their ruperior strength. And they make best looking combat rogues as well. I have been regretting rolling UD in the first place instead of an orc :( |

Anyway, the gradient background and especially the silly lensflares really kill this image. You'd have been better off without those. The coloring is verry flat as well, looks like you just filled in empty space in the lineart, without actually thinking about how the shading would really work out. |

As said, did it in a rush, but yes, you're correct. Well, maybe not longest history, but pretty impressive one. |

The ultimate assasins are Trolls and Humans. |

I think we're coming down to a matters of opinions here. For my liking, those two races do not have the vicious and vile charasteristics which are needed for assassins. Trolls may have some physical traits which suit assassins, but they just don't seem evil enough to me. And humans... Well, they're just plain pussies who look like idiots who just don't have the wits what it takes to be cunning badass. As said, opinions. |

Orcs are not evil or vile, thats the whole problem here. When they first came to azaroth they where, yes, they had the taint of the legeon with them. Though verry focussed on battle and with a warlords political system, orcs where always a honourable race. Not evil. Trolls on the other hand, are inheritly evil. They are sneaky fucks, crouch around in the jungle stalking prey. They are the assasins here. Allthough elves are probubly innately better sneakers/assasins then humans, they genrally dont use it to play dirty. Where it is in human nature to deceive and plot. |
