Editing the volcano spell. . .

Alright, I've felt like a complete noob before so time to return to that feeling, I've been messing with Volcano for a while, and I can't figure out how to stop it from spawning a volcano. Is it possible? I want to switch it with the earthquake sfx. For some reason this seems like a noob question to me

I don't have WE at hand, but I think it can be in this way. Create a custom doodad with the earthquake FX, and then, set in the volcano ability the custom doodad. And that's all :)

Hmm..
You can remove the Volcano model, by changing the model in the destructible volcano... But I don't know how to remove the ground thingy... (is it called UberSplat?)

Zoh mah gahd. I didn't even see that "Destructable ID" option, I'ma have to try it.

Edit: Ahh? Why is it blank and why can I only add units, no destructables... Ubersplats are the big red splatter things that take up the whole screen, if I'm not mistaken.

Edit of the Edit: Alright, I tried making a dummy units with Aloc that looks like an earthquake, and then setting the destructable Id of Volcano to that unit, but now WC and it's entirety just crashes. Soooo.. yea.

It should be a destructible, not a unit... I don't know why your World Editor is asking for a unit.

And ubersplats are the things beneath buildings; the little stone squares under Human buildings, etc.

Yea, so am I just screwed if my editor keeps trying to select a unit? And those are not ubersplats, those would be ground textures.

It's an error in blizzard's MetaData file.
You must shift-click on the value, so the unit picker doesn't appear.
Then you can enter a destructable-id as a string.

So what is an ubersplat, then?

The little textures under buildings are called ubersplats, what you're thinking of, the images that appear on screen like the panda scene, are called fade filters.
On Topic: I believe PitzerMike is right, you must hold shift then open the field in order to select destructibles.

Ah; thanks for confirming then.

Ahh, shift clicking does work, now I just have to get it to cease the raising. That should be easy though, I'm sure thats controlled by an effect or something. Thanks for all yalls help, I'm sure I'll be needing it again sometime
