What do all the fields on the "Steal" ability do? Totally curious as to what they do (statistically). Otherwise, the problem I'm trying to solve is... I'm making a sort of "Instant mana steal" ability to go along with this Siphon Mana as a combo. Now, what I'm trying to do is this: Quote:
However, the problem is that when the ability is cast it steals all the mana of the enemy and gives the caster that amount of mana. I editted the Steal ability accordingly: Level 1 Mana Tap Leave Target Alive - True Life Conversion as Percent - False Life Converted to Life - 0.00 Life Converted to Mana - 45.00 Mana Conversion as Percent - False Cast Range - 600.00 Cooldown - 15.00 Targets Allowed - Air, Enemy, Ground, Not Self Another problem when I editted the Steal ability was that even though I set it to enemy-only targets you can still do it on allies and your own units. So the questions I'd like answered are:

I think that is some blizz hard coded stuff like Death Coil. |

You could use the "Absorb Mana" or whatever it was called that the Destroyer(wc3 unit) has. Although, I don't know if that kind mana stealing is affected by Steal. By the way, won't the "Life Converted to Mana" make the unit's health go away and your hero gets mana? I haven't played around with Siphon Mana or Life Drain much, so I guess I'll have to figure that one out... |

There's some sort of bug or hard-code thing in Steal. Trigger it, fast Siphon Mana, or something else would be better. It's in "Handy WE Tips," the top of the General Development forum (this one). |
