Hey guys,

I downloaded a white sword model off the internet. Now I want to change its color to black and attach it to a hero. Is that possible?

Thanks in advance

Can you give us the sword maby???
If you want to learn how to attach things then you should read this: Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4
I dont think that tut is in Wc3C.
Or if you want to attach it ingame you should read this:
http://world-editor-tutorials.thehel...ttachments.php

'Bout the color thing you should change the texture... But contact the creator of the sword and get his permission.

Yeah change the texture or the color tint in the object editor. Anyway this is in no way related to modeling (why can't people read...) so thread moved.

Do you see any questions regarding modeling in this thread? Do you see a work in progress, searching for critique?...No? So don't fucking "duh" me.

Srry, didn't know where to post this.
I have attached the sword.

What do you mean by that? I attached the sword to the model with a trigger:
Trigger:
Give Ichigo Sword
Collapse Events
Unit - A unit Finishes construction
Collapse Conditions
(Unit-type of (Constructed structure)) Equal to Ichigo
Collapse Actions
Special Effect - Create a special effect attached to the hand right of (Constructed structure) using war3mapImported\SteelLongSword.mdx
Animation - Change (Constructed structure)'s vertex coloring to (0.00%, 0.00%, 0.00%) with 0.00% transparency

Is there any other way to attach a sword.
BTW, I dont want the hero and model to change to being black, only the sword.
Attached Files
File type: zipSteelLongSword.zip (10.9 KB)

You could attach it with Oinker's GeoMerger.

????????
What's that?
BTW: I am trying to use as little space as possible for the map (dont want to import too many models).
