Hi all :)

Zoom (requires log in)

I decided to put online and available to use the first model from the Acathla campaign mission2. This is just a starter before the mission2 pack.
This zergling model and his texture are made from 0 and got many animations : stand, stand2, stand3, walk, attack, attack2, spell slam ( critical ), spell, death, decay, burrow, unburrow, jump, slide & stuned.
I designed it by mixing starcraft cinematic and SCghost concepts... he is not running like a grasshopper.. ^^

The .zip contains zergy .wav files used by the events sound and the path of those events in a .txt. So zergling unit is ready to be used in a nice map.

Of course if you want to see it in action right now, you can download Acathla mission1 and 2 and play to mission 2 to see it.

If you want to use it, give credits to "Abriko : www.acathla.com " thx ;)

That's pretty sweet man. Nice animations (though I think the attack ones are a bit slow, but they work nice).
Anyway, I attached the images to the post and please you do that from now on, so we won't get broken links in the future and to have a pic to show to the left of your resource title.
Oh and

zergy .wav
It has a .wav file, so the zip size is larger. I dont think you have to use it though.

yes, 6 .wav files exactly.

THat's a mean beasty. Can we import only the model? I don't want to include the wavs, will it still work?

I think so, it seems like the wav files are for soundset purposes.

The textures+model is 699 kb. (i checked)

I dunno, 700kb for a model is quite a sacrifice.

Are you sure? I'm pretty sure 6 .wav files is alot bigger than ~40kb. I could be wrong though.

The .mdx is 79kb.
The zergling texture is 44kb.

The other textures can easily be replaced by in-game textures.
They're just stuff for particles and so forth.
You could also easily compress them.

sounds are fine, but still big and not looking much as zergling - at least not more than original WC3 zergling.
