Decided to skin the Blademaster. His theme's fire. I think I did the skin pretty a'ight but I think the sword, shorts, bracers need some re-doing but I don't know what to make them into.

I also need to know if I have improved :D I followed TDR's video tut where he skins the peon.

No not really, it's how TDR made his peon in his video tut and I just followed his steps. The balls are recoloured though, lololol

oh, speaking of that tut, I have to remember to remake it. The result sucks big time, but the technique is the essential part but anyway...
I don't know how you were texturing before this and I'm too lazy to care to search, so please attach a sample of your previous stuff.

I like the concept and the blade.

You use too many hard blacks everywhere.
There's more black on the texture than other colors.
Black isn't a bad thing to use, if you use it right, but I find that you among others just spam it everywhere and claim that it's a "shadow." That simply isn't the case.

Not to mention you CnPed the flag from a Blizz icon.

It looks like a recolor, i dont know and i don´t care if you actually remake it or not, it still looks the same. Next time just block the colors and forget how the original textures is.
I also agree with Dusk about the abuse of black on the body, it doesn´t look good at all.

The blade looks good, but the blademaster needs more work. If his element is fire, than make his body have lava cracks, you know, things like that. Also, burning eyes, fire necklace, ect.
Needs more work, thats all. By the look you haven't spent much time on it.

seriously though, it needs more details. at the moment, it would have been just as effective to recolour it. if you want people to vote on whether you've improved, show us your skill!

Oh yes I CnPed the flag lololol. I didn't have enough time, our periodicals are about half way finished and I still have to study math for tomorrow.

Thanks for the critics, I really want to improve but I'm not quite good at muscles and all that so I usually follow the original skin just so I don't mess it up. I'm starting on a new skin and I will try not to make it look recolored :D

Well, the face and the body looks recolored as well with just some added short designs/whateva and a sword.

I always CNP the blademaster flag, yo. Its totally cool. However, making a blurry texture with a contrast too high, is not. He'd look like a bronze stature of a blademaster, if it wasnt so goddamn crappy.
