WT 66 - Graveyard

08-05-2007, 11:35 PM#1
[Death]
They stood as statues. The words of the preacher tuned out as he spoke the platitudes quietly muttered at every gathering of the sort. He stopped and looked up at the rows of the people surrounding the grave. Desensitized, he continued his condolences and good wishes. Despite the gathering of people, the environment had an abandoned and empty feel. A nearby crow, quietly perched in a tree, eyed the crowd with curiosity. Most of the grass around had worn away, much resembling the people here. The sky was dark and cloudy, and there was a light fog. The fence nearby was tall and spiked, as if trying to keep something out, or in. It began to drizzle and then rain. The irremediable statues still stood anchored and motionless. Somehow, it seemed fitting.

It looks a bit bland because i only had 10 minutes to work on it. More detail coming when i find sometime.

Now those graves are huge, Asehujiko. The idea of an seemingly endless graveyard is pretty nice but it's hard to pull off to make it look nice.

Lord Snorky, great job. Looks very realistic (no, not the trees, the setting)

@Asehujiko: I believe it's too plain, a bit of variation would make it look better.
@Shining: The same as above.
@Snorky: I really like yours, nice ambience and nice use of doodads.

It's been a while since I opened the editor. I don't like the result very much, I was aiming at somekind of Heavenly Graveyard.

Doesn't look much like a graveyard, looks more like the road to heaven.

Did 2 versions one "peacefull" and one "Spooky" (The last picture is a smaller version of the first)
