Update Alright. Romance of the Three kingdoms is a book written about the turbulent years in China after the Han Dynasty and about the Three Kingdoms age (210-280 a.d). Romance of The Three Kingdoms the Wc3 map will be a Tactial-Diplomacy map. You can either be a military giant and war your way into victory or you can use cunning and skill through a trade empire into manuevering your way into victory. There will be a tic-tac-toe military system. Pikes > Spears. Calvary > Spears. Pikes > Calvary. Along with Archers and Swordsman who are weak. There will be units unique to every country. Victory is obtained by uniting all of china under your single banner. Defeat will occur when your empire is wiped from the map and your heros die. Units will have many different abilities to use in different situations against different enemies. Every Heros has Custom Abilities that are unique to that hero in history along with a unique weapon. Along with thier being ground units, Naval units will play a significant role in uniting China. Although the terrain is only Huge I've scaled all units down and slowed thier speeds so it gives the effect of a truely epic map. I'm using custom models along with alot of custom icon. Most models are Blackstan's as I have no way of getting any actual chinese units. As of right now the Current progress is: Terrain: 90% Triggers 75% Units: 50% There's a BETA version of the map attached to this post tell me what you think and give suggestions. Thanks in advance to anyone who provides any help. |

More info on the map please. So many of these threads only have a couple lines describing their map until they are asked to add more my a moderator. Seriously, if your map can be summed up in three sentences, it's going to be lame. We need a reason to download that map that you posted. Also, screenshots = ftw |

Maps based on other games rarley work well. But who knows, maybe with a bit more info and screens you can prove me wrong. |

Good. Such heavy use of colours in posts is not allowed, though, so I edited some of it out for you. The thread is good now. |

Is this going to be a single- or a multiplayer experience? How do you plan to develop the deplomacy side of the map? |

It'll be a Multi player map. 11 players which reqresent a different important nation of China during the Three kingdoms period. Diplomacy will be required as not to be raped by the other 10 players as you mindlessly conquer. You can ally, declare war or stay neutral to another country through Chat such as the message: Ally Blue. The would ally you to player 2 or Blue. Na Blue would neutral and War blue would declare war. |

But of course you'd need to make it so that both of the nations would have to agree on being allied. |

Perhaps a dialog pop up when a nation allies you? Yes I think that'd do the trick. When a nation delcares war you'd automatically go to war with that nation. |
