Is there anything special you need to do in order to open SLK files in Excel? When I open the files it shows me alot of rubbish, nothing that can be readable.

Help

Well, it doesn't.. just one long line of text that can't be read..

Did you extract the .slk files with WinMPQ?

It tends to spit out some weird stuff (older versions, he [ShadowFlare] made a new version a few days ago)

Try it with the new WinMPQ or with another MPQ extractor (like mine or MPQEdit (or MPQView) or something ;))

I had this happen to me one day. I don't know how I fixed it. I use several MPQ extractors, so that may have something to do with it, as DJBnJack said. Also try updating Microsoft Office and Windows.

One unusual bug, though: If I save an .slk and later open it, it tells me it can't read lines 100, 103, 106, and 109, then says something about being unable to convert cells, but everything works great, even when being used by the editor or War3. This even happens if I sort the rows differently, or even make a new blank .slk. Anyone know anything?
