Im making an RPG about the ancient greece. Artemis, the godess of hunting, has ordered a few of her followers to build a city, called Artha, for her worshippers. Unfortunatly, The 10 dominating the area. The 10 is a brotherhood of dragons including a dragon of each of these ten elements: Water Earth Air Fire Frost Ground Storm Thunder Life and death In the RPG you have to get rid of The 10, and make the building of Artha secure. My idea's: Game play: You start in Artha, where there in the start only are a overseer (questgiver), a raid master (will explain later) and a blacksmith. By doing quests and going on adventure you can draw ekstra people to the city and they will make an improvement and make the city bigger. Of course you will have to deal with the dragons, and to do that you talk with your raidmaster. You will now get a dialog looking like this: Wich dragon would you like to raid? [Water (min. lvl: 10)] [Earth (min. lvl: 25)] and so on When you press a dragon, all players with heroes, at higher lvl than the minimum will get a dialog reading this: (playername of raidstarting player) is starting a raid against the dragon of (whateverdragon chosen) would you like to join? [yes] [no] All that says yes, will be teleported to the raid start. The look is like in WoW, you "go" just behind your hero. Im making heroes, abilities and triggers myself and i need following to help me making the Age of Dragons RPG: A terrainer: Found out that terraining is not my strong side.... I hope that some will help me. Post an answer or mail me at [email protected] Update: Have 4 herotypes now. 2 DPs a healer and a tank Working on a talent system. |

Moved the thread to project recruitment, where it belongs. You should update the main post with more information, specificaly more details about what the gam is going to be like and what exactly do you need your teammembers to do, otherwise it will be deleted. Also, I don't think you can dynamicaly change the names of heroes. |

You cannot set the name of a hero dynamically. |

Hmmmm... I thought I've seen hero naming before too... Instead of modeling 10 different dragons, could you recolor the skins of the existing ones to make them match the elements that they represent? |

I've thought of that, bu i would like some ground dragons too..... Its no good if only 2-3 classes can hit them.... |

There are two distinct fields in object editor which you should take in mind. Movement - Type represents the typo of mevomement (obviously), it should be set to "flying". The Combat - Targeted As (or something like it) represents as what are the units targeted. You can have flying dragon which can be hit by swordsmen ;) Guys, you should play DotA. Someone may hate it, but it is museum of Wc3 tricks ;) Na'ix Revenats can fly over trees, but they can be hit by melee heroes. |
