No, not without a cracked version, which can usually cause a lot of problems in the end.

All you need is nero.

Make a cd image (.nrg file)

and then load it with NeroImageDrive
it creates Virtual CD in witch you can load .nrg files.

EDIT:

And we know you have original because non-originals have built-in NOCD craks.

Or download a mini image from some site and mount it in daemon tools.

Wow.

I can make images of CD's without 3rd party programs. The program for it comes natively with the OS.

Macs FTW:

you are not funny.

Anyway, http://wc3campaigns.net/showthread.php?t=79482

as for actually installing the game without a CD in the drive: Rip the image from the disk and email / networked transfer / ext. to the computer. (use the .ISO format) then just mount with dTools and install.

Blizzard actually suggests doing this on their technical support website. I find that funny.

windows is meant not to work out of the box you are supposed to spend a month installing third party apps else it is not usable.

I just wish blizz and companies in general could stop the retarded frenzy to add cd protection to games... Not that it actually works, right now it is the only reason I can't play in bnet since I needed to crack my legit war3 to make it run in Linux...

Arohk! Sweet Jesus you have returned. Are you still collaborating with Krash or is this map a one-man project?

This won't help you but some might like to know....

If you have your RoC Cd, but your frozen throne is lost/cracked, you can start up TFT WE, and then use the test map feature to start up TFT With your RoC CD.

You can start TFT with the RoC disk normally, period. No WE, etc.

Vex, why'd you delete DioD's post?

Blizzard suggests doing it... so why can't he link his CD Image?

Step 5
Make a disk image:

With Mac OS X, it is possible to use the Disk Copy application to make a read only image of the Warcraft III CD. This can help in cases where the installer does not run properly from the CD itself.

To make a disk image, use the following set of steps.

1. Insert the Warcraft III CD in your drive.
2. Click on the Go menu in the Finder menu bar at the top of your screen.
3. Select the Applications menu item.
4. Double click on the Utilities folder to open it.
5. Double click on the Disk Copy application to start it.
6. Click once on the Warcraft III CD icon.
7 Click on the File menu in the Disk Copy menu bar.
8. Mouse over the New menu item.
9. Select the Image from Device option.
10. Click on the Warcraft III CD item in the list.
11. Click on the Image button.
12. Type in Warcraft III CD in the Save as: field.
13. Select Read/Only from the Image Format choice bar.
14. Click on the Save button.
15. When the imaging process completes, eject the Warcraft III CD.

To mount the image, double click on the Warcraft III CD.dmg icon. If everything went as it should, the disk image should decompress, and you will see a Warcraft III CD Icon on the Desktop. Try to run the installer from the image.
