I have included a lot of information in this post, and if that turns you off... I'm sorry, know also i have bolded and centered topics, skip anything you think you don't want/need to know, I have hidden the game play details, don't let that discourage you from reading it if it interests you... they make the post huge... -- Genre -- an rpg with an encounter battle system such as Final Fantasy Forever but not random (if you would like an example of a game like this that would be most of the 'Tales of ____' games created by Namco) Featuring not one, not two, but up to 3 teams who can simultaneously traverse the map. I have not yet decided whether I should allow 6 or 10 people to play at once, a 10 person team could be crowded... although they could split off into the other teams to have a team of 4/3/3 or such... this will be decided between me and whoever joins the team. -- Storyline -- You are the avatars of a powerful spirit, Shumani, sent to rid 'The Isles of Xeon' from the threat of Zeromus. The First Dark Age was beset by this wickedly evil villain. Shumani is bound to the mountain to protect it forever. As avatars of the spirit of the Mystic Mountain it is your job to cleanse the world of Zeromus' evil. You start at the Isle of Shumani which was named after its guardian Deity. You are teleported off the mountain and into the valley surrounding it. You fight a few arduous battles and cleanse a tainted crystal in a nearby cave then continue through the valley surrounded by mountains to delari which was besieged by both sides from the legion *Zeromus' armies*. At first you are weak because most of Shumani's power is bound to the mountain. However, as you receive training from various masters of the arts (a warrior, a ranger, or a magician) you feel your skills beginning to improve. You then set off to remove the curse seals from each of the four islands. -- If you want more of the storyline I would be HAPPY to give it to you, however I feel as if my post is getting a bit lengthy. -- Game play --
-- needs -- Currently I need a triggerer and a terrainer, although I am versed in both enough to complete the map myself I would VERY MUCH like the help of some more experienced people. I am partially set on how I would like the terraining to be organized but most of the rest can be changed at the whim of whomever I can coerce into terraining. Eventually I hope to get a bunch of custom icons/skins, maybe an interface or two, but it is not essential at this point in the development. If there are any REALLY bored Icon/Model/Skin creators out there who just can't wait to do something you can PM me and I may give you a few ideas to see what you can do, however nothing I give you will be final and set as to what I need, but we may come to an understanding and/or get something that will work very well. for any triggerers who would want to join I would expect almost everything to be in jass *sorry* and i would have you work on spells and some of the system while anyone who joins does what they intended to do I will be doing area transitions, some of the system, a few of the spells, creating units, making quests... and that kind of thing (unless someone who joins would like to do that) that is about the sum of that ( totaling 916ish words). that's about a small essay... |

Although I'm not very interested in merging projects (as I said before I am perfectly able to finish the map myself but it will take longer and probably won't end up to it's full potential) I could help you with a 'save the town' quest and possibly a dungeon or two if you have enough extra room on the side of your map that you wouldn't mind cropped out. I am hoping that some kind map makers that are working on their own projects will take to my idea and give assistance to the other people. If we all work together I don't see why all our projects won't get done faster. |
