Im a total Jass Noob

Hello, I just downloaded jass because i heard it is faster and better than GUI. but when i opened the program I had no idea what to do.. Im good with GUI but i dont even know where to start with Jass.. Please help. Could anyone give me some step by step instructions on how to do a simple trigger in JAss maybe that could help me learn to do harder things..

Also is doing everything in GUI bad? even if you know how to reduce leaks?

I don't understand your question, I think you have a false image what jass is, go through this tutorial, I think it will help you in your first steps with jass:

LOL!! Jass is not downloaded, in fact GUI is a bad and limited front end of JASS.
