Command Priority?

The basic commands, Patrol, Move Stop, Etc. You know the ones? Well, is there any way to make one move up on the command card? Because my unit, who has attack disabled, now has a big ugly blank space where attack was, and on the next line aptrol. How, if at all, do I get patrol to take the slot of attack?

Modify and re-import the file Units\CommandFunc.txt.

But.. Won't that only work for me, not the oter peopel playing the map? Unless they had a similarly modded COmmantFunc.Txt. But this isn't just for personal use. It's for a map.

I think when he says "re-import" as in putting it in the map or something, so it shows up only in the map (not for any map for you but instead that map for EVERYONE).

That would be correct, if you import something into a map, it only affects that map.

The only exception to this rule (I can think of) is if you change the racial names (Human, Night Elf, Undead and Orc) to something else, the next game you play it may be changed.

That is only because that info is loaded into the game when the map loads. In the starting screen, the map hasn't loaded yet so the name are not updated. The next map played, has the modified names and then re-loads the default names when the map starts.

Yes that is what I meant. If you import the changed file into your map it will overwrite the default one for that map.

Okay, but now I can't find the CommandFunc.txt file. Where in the main directory is it?

It's in the base MPQ (war3.mpq). Inside the MPQ the path is Units\CommandFunc.txt. If you don't have a program that can open MPQ's just google it, I use WinMPQ but I think there are several that would do the job. There's also probably some in the hive's tools section.

Can someone just post the TXT file here? I can't seem to find a DL link to WINMQ.
