I'm interested in common editing problems, mainly through direct MDL editing or the use of custom editors (not so much Max, Milkshape and other main programs). I'm thinking about stuff like Geoset Animations that are not connected to a Geoset which causes War3 to crash. What, in your experience, causes problems like this? Not neccessarily crashes but other odd artifacts too. |

Well, saving a model to MDX or MDL seems to disconnect any new TVertexAnims you added; they have to be reassigned in notepad before your model editor will accept them. Team colour particles? They crash most of the time, but I'm damned if I know how or why. I actually can't think of many real issues; I seem to work around them by pure instinct now (if they're there at all)... :( |
