Hi :) In first I am sorry for my grammar, I don't very well speak English, but I hope that you understand me. I´m from Slovakia :) I have problem with my map, it is not very cool map, but one time when I want to open it and editing it wrote one error: In English someting like that: Error Can´t open My computer/C/Program files.. - Can´t open basic file of map. I have elder variant of this map, but I lose lot of work if I edit Elder one. I with my friend test many sorts of Repair, but it doesn´t work. I attach this map there. Please help me. Thank you very much! ![]() |

Did you use a program like Vexorian's Map Optimizer or something to "protect" the map? |

That error is typical of corruption by world editor during the save. Could you post an actual screenshot of the error? I am not able to use WE right now. |

In bottom of Error- In Czech- Nelze otevrit hlavni soubor mapy. In English, my translate- Can't open basic file of map. Many thanks for help ![]() |

Yep I would say it is a save corruption. Not even an mpq editor can open it right now, I would say you are going to have to restart again from that old copy. It is a good idea to make frequent backups, this is not the first map World Editor kills and it will not be the last... |

Several of my maps have been destroyed by this, so either use a backup map file and alternate saves between them or save the map as a new version every hour or so (0.01, 0.02, etc) |
