[Question] 320x160 Maps on BNet

If I make a map with the ungodly huge dimensions of 320x160, would it be compatible on BNet? I heard somewhere that maps this huge can cause major lag spikes, desyncs or some other bad things.

So. Are maps with dimensions beyond 256 BNet compatible?

The question is more: can your computer handle a map that large (and all the attendant doodads, units)...

And even if your computer can do it, can your opponents'?

I guess that's a factor to consider... but is it possible to play these maps on BNet? The answer is probably yes but I'm just having a blonde moment...

It's going to be a map that uses the Vampirism mechanic, and exploring a map that large can be very unfair so I might try for something smaller.

yep, you can have like 400x400 and it would still work, as RDZ said it just depends if your computer/internet can handle it, think of Juliens RPG its HUGE

No you can't... 400x400 isn't divisible by 32. Now to be serious.

Kay, now thanks for the answers! I haven't played Julien's RPG, I like Elemental RPG because I can get 1/\/\|34 |-|4><0|2 heroes.

Playable mapsize doesn't. The actual map size does.
