Battle Tactics.

2 - 4 Players (Might be more in final version)

A.I. Will be implemented later for a Co-Op story mode.

Battle Tactics is a multi player arena type map based off old school Tactics games, like Final Fantasy Tactics and the combat of Heroes of Might and Magic.

A Custom grid system has been designed to map the arena's in game to allow for more arenas to be added quickly in future content releases.

Combat system has been created to add the ut-most flexibility, allowing for detection of your facing angles during attack, also allowing specific unit abilities and items.

The first version released will have at least 8 completely different units to form your squad with, each unit can buy upgrades increasing Damage, Mana, Life, Armor along with equipping items that give abilities such as Block and increasing stats. Focusing on customization your squad will allow you to form it based on your play style.

Currently the map is in late Alpha, almost ready for beta, from there it will be released very soon. Most critical systems have been completed, only thing left is minor bug testing and adding of additional units.

Units

Archer

Movement: High
Damage: Low
Abilities:Critical Strike - Has a 35% chance to deal 2x damage (Stacks with back attacks)

Knight

Movement: Medium
Damage: Medium
Abilities: Block - Has a 35% chance to block 35 damage (Damage mitigation applied before armor check)

Mage

Movement: Low
Damage: High
Abilities: The mage's normal attack can target a unit or a tile, it then damages a 9 square area around the unit or tile selected, this damage hurts enemies and allies.

Cleric

Movement: High
Attack: None
Abilities: The cleric can only target tiles and heals a 9 square area around the selected tile, the heal applies to every unit so be smart with your unit placement.

Small Shield

+2 Armor
Block (Passive) - 20% chance to block 25 damage.


Ring of Regen

+1 Strength
HP Regen (Passive) - Every round you gain 10HP.


Amulet of Power

+1 Intelligence
MP Regen (Passive) - Every round you gain 10MP.

Added this to give people some idea of whats in store, I'm in the process of rewriting the facing/angle detection system, the current one is borked because not being able to set a unit's facing angle after you remove the move ability.

Some stuff you'll need to know.

-Only players 1-2 work.
-ESC ends turn.
-When you start you pick units from the top shop and can upgrade thsoe untis from the bottom shop.
-If a unit does no actions in it's turn it regenerates 25 hp and mp.

Update: Added a download for an early version, check first post for details!
