Summary:
Its the winter of 2008 and for the past six months the country of Russia has been black. A quarantine zone has been initiated around the borders of the economic failing country. The country six months before already has been suffering from a depression which led to civil unrest and countless riots. But During the past six months Russia had closed it's borders for an unknown reason. The governments of the global community knows the real reason.. You, and your group of marines will lead a "top secret" mission code name, Black Widow. You have to go to the outskirts of Samara, a heavily urbanized post-cold war city which is destroyed beyond recognition. You will have to retrieve a vital DNA sample which is located in a lab. You know there's a disease going around, you know there's countless genocide occurring and countless unmoral killings. Will you complete your mission and leave millions to their deaths?

Features:
Well for one thing it's going to be radically different from other zombie survival games. For one, there will be countless destroyable environment which can be used defensively or offensively. Plus I am trying to add a defensive bonus if you prone behind objects. It won't be completely linear considering the fact the morale decisions you make will determine your goals. Most of the time you won't be facing masses of zombies, more like riots and masses of angry civilians running or attack the Russian soldiers stationed in the city or vice versa. All custom sounds and beautiful ambient music which sets in the mood to help the player get the feel of this map. This map is not a mindless slaughter survival killing map, more of a conscious choice making cause and effect. Some of the time you can help out the civilians and will be awarded with more information to help clean up the city of the mindless killers of the Russian garrison, but other than that, if you're a heartless arse then you can just skip all that humanitarian bullshit and get the DNA sample and hitch it. Also introducing REAL diseases and real medicines and an unique disease system. Medic packs will not be easily available as in the other maps and you will not be able to recover HP over time, this just adds realism, and difficulty to the map. There are stealth techniques needed to overcome enemies, considering you and your team are only 10 men, well sorry to say there's a whole battalion of russian troops and mobs of angry rioters. Standard weapons and explosives. THOUGH there will not be a leveling system nor hero skills, a-lot of the time ranking takes away from the game. Also, there will be a war going on with the Russian Military and the Chinese military (People's Liberation Army) and of course also at the same time fighting off the hordes of infected. And of course you will be stuck in the middle of the whole mess. Another system I am also adding is voice response. For example, if you get shot and wounded to a certain point, your character will scream, I'm hit need assistance. If you run low on ammo, "Need back up"... And other voice commands too. Also I'm integrating a smart AI system for the human computer enemies through massive trigger trees of cause and effects.

Incredible, if you live up to all you said, this map will be very fun i think. I can help you if you need it, i can trigger practically anything. Just be patient with me i don't everything but i know a lot and i learn very fast.

Yeah, Well I need a rank and save system trigger GUI, I don't know how to do that. Uh... A more solidified weapons system too... You think you can help me out on that? I know I said no ranking, but just in case if my maps needs it through feedback.

That car model looks really bad especially if you're going to be playing in the view. But the rest of the terrain looks cool.

Is Samara a real Russian word or city? It doesn't sound too Russian to me. And Black Widow has got to be the most cliche code name ever.

All those custom doodads, but you use the extremely crappy wc3 zombie model? Yeah those guys really scare me. You'd be better off with scourge guys like ghouls or abominations. Ten times as scary as those silly sods.

Samara is a real city, look it up. The game view is not that view. Black widow is also a sketchy thing. I had new ideas now. And I want to keep it realistic. Abominations are quite, eh.... And ghouls I am using in my map so no worries. It's not suppose to be scary, though the music and the fog and environment sets a errie mood. As I said, the game is more touching on your morales and ethics.

You have a zombie map and you're trying to keep it realistic? what the hell? Go resident evil style man, its "realistic" and still has fucking strange mutations. Zombie games need that shit.

:-/ I never said it was a full zombie type map. Think about it, the full solidification of scifi zombie maps are over done and horribly done....

A good analogy would be me mixing the recent Dawn of the Dead with Tears of the Sun and Blood Diamond.

The idea of the survival aspect of DOTD
The ideal of ethical choices of Tears of the sun
And the emotional feelings that get effected when watching Blood Diamond

UPDATE: Adding a system where if enemies see you're gaining defensive bonuses by staying behind cover, they'll order an artillery strike on your position. Of course the strikes will be relatively close to your exact location, but randomized. So what do you guys think about that system???
