After searching the web for a raptor-riding-troll model for wc3, i decided to have a look at basic modeling. Thats it, when reading thro the tuts and posts here i still find no ansear to my basic question. "With what?" In most of the advices i found, 3DSMAX was told togther with wc3 art tools be the basic modeling program. GMAX was also mentioned somewhere. 3DSMAX seems in my eyes to be a 700$ program, seems to me like a lage sum of money for my troll raptor rider, dont ye say? This just confuses me, so what modeling program DO you peolple use? So please, can anyone just tell me what programs i need or simply give me a link to the tutorial or thread with other lost nobbs that i assume is somewhere around? Regards /Spearhawkx |

Mostly 3Dsmax. Some people use Milshape also, which is free. |

There are ways. It's the internet... you can get almost anything for free. Well, you can try bittorrent or limewire, but it would really suck if it didn't work after the massive 1 gig (<>) download. Just get Milkshape. Then if you do want to become a serious modeler, save up for 3dsmax. |

I use maya, go look up the price on that tho :/ I do prefer it tho because I can make realistic furry things ect without a hassle :P soooo if you are going to go the "torrent" method I recommend... Evaluating Maya as well... yes evaluating it of course don't use it tho that might just be illegal ^.^ |
