Flame strike is a little tricky, I can't seem how to edit the values the way I want them to to get the effect. Lets take the neutral hostile for example.. Code:
Full Damage Dealt - 15.00 Full Damage Interval - 0.33 Half Damage Dealt - 10.00 Half Damage Interval - 1.00 Duration Hero - 1.67 Duration Normal - 6.00 Description: Conjures a pillar of flame that burns ground units for 45 damage a second for 2 seconds. As the pillar of flame subsides, units within the fire continue to take minor damage. Right away I can see 15 x 3 will get the 45, which I'm guessing is the .33, or 3 times a second. Wouldn't 45 for the full damage and 1.00 for the interval be the same? But where does the half damage come in? I don't want to modify it and it to be too overpowered or underpowered. |

There are ranges for full and half damage. Basically the meaning and full and half damage is that units closer to the center of flame will get burned more. Just imagine 2 concentric circles (one inside each other) |

Completely and absolutely wrong. The full damage is dealt in the duration of the initial explosion which is set by the Duration Hero stat. (Putting 3 seconds here will deal full damage for 3 seconds.) The half damage is dealt in the duration of the little flames that lie on the ground, which is set by the Duration Normal stat. (Putting 10 seconds here will deal half damage for 10 seconds after the full damage time wears off.) As you may have noticed, yes, the tooltip is wrong. Put together a dummy shoot me unit with 1k HP, no magic resistance and no HP regen and you'll see what i mean. It will take 15 damage 5 times very quickly, and then start taking 10 damage in 1 second intervals. |
