Phantom (Deadlock)

Hey, guys this is my first completed map based off of the starcraft version of the map.

Features:
-8 player map
-Only multiplayer (no computer players)
-Melee style gameplay
-Tricks that completely alters the gameplay for a short time
-6 Tricks so far
-One vs Seven players
-Single player is unknown to the others.

Summary:

The idea of this map is for one player called the phantom to try to kill all other players and vise versa. The catch is that no one knows who the phantom is except the phantom. To kill 7 other players the phantom uses his secret identity, his tricks and his extra money.

Tricks:

The Phantom as of yet has 6 tricks or abilities that he can use to fool other players. Each trick attempts to make other players suspicious of the wrong player and the hope is that the phantom can get conflict to happen that allows enough of an advantage for him to win. All tricks cost a certain amount of gold and lumber to the phantom so that he cannot constantly use these tricks without a limit.

The Tricks: (hidden because it takes up room)
Hidden information:

Disable Vision: Remove the vision of any player to any other player, so no one can see anyone else for 20 seconds.

Change Alliances: Allows the phantom to make people allies or enemies for 20 seconds

Change Colour: Changes the colour of all players to a desired colour for 2 minutes.

Mass Move: Allows the phantom to make all the military units of a player attack-move to another players base.

Hidden Message: The phantom can send any message he wants to any player at any time for free.

All Control: Gives all players control of all other players for 20 seconds.

Here's the map. I recommend at least testing for 5-8 people as the phantom might be too strong for even 4. Thanks to anyone who can test this, especially if you can test it public on east or west, because i can't.

NOTE:This version of the map is protected so watch out!
I don't think it will crash the editor if ran but save to be safe.
And if you want an open version just pm me with a good reason.

This..

This is a W3M?

Not a W3X?

Also, Morbo demands pics.

I resent my comment. I tested it, interesting.. All you need is beast terrain of your own, nice music, a custom model and a nice fog.

I really don't see the big deal about the file type.

And pics? My map is just a melee modification with some extra tricks and game play elements, no custom terrain or spells to show off.

Understand this isn't my prized project but it is mine, judge it as you will.

Same, this map isn't about custom terrain or spells or models unless you think that a special hero or something would help it?

Of course, music.. You need to set in the music and the mood of a stalker killer going around... And a pejorative unit which is sexy, sleek but bad ass... Did you ever look at my problem on my map btw?

The filetype "problem" means that this is pretty basic, as almost any custom settings amke a map a WCX.

Can't host, so I can't test.

Okay the filetype is now to your approval, have fun.

I just updated the map to the newest version.

Fixed:

-Bug where people could make as many heroes as they wanted.
-Colour trick just didn't work!

If you guys can host this on east or west it would be greatly appreciated, i can't get on as of now. Thanks.

Don't ever use music. End of story. Simply takes up far too much filesize for far too little impact. (Obviously single player is exempt).

No not true.... You just have to find the right song and I know what I'm talking about.... You can make a 3000kb song into a 700 no problem and keep intact the quality.

700 is (almost?) more than all my imports in Warlords (and thats with a couple of models/skins which really should be a lot smaller, just can't find a well made low-cost model that fits).

I agree with griffen, certain maps need music but mine isn't one of them. At the least a few small sounds for victory/defeat of the different players or a sound to signify the true start of the game when the phantom is picked. This is not my top concern right now and unless someone comes to with it i'm not going to worry about it.
