Ive noticed in Daishi of Deaths spell editor that u can add new spells. But how would u give these new spells to units without opening up WE and deleting the new files. Would you add them in, open up WE, give to unit, and then reimplement them?? PLZ HELP!!!

Create a folder called unit in your war3 directory and put your abilitydata.slk and all the related .txt files in it.

Restart the WE and the new spell will be there.

For actually, playing, you have to put them in the map. For editing, either use a sempq or the method mentioned above. A sempq is slightly harder, but makes it so that you don't have to delete the files before playing normal war3.

Why would you delete the files before playing normal war3 ?

War3 doesn't use local files unless you tell him to do so by editing the register.

what i mean is.....

If i were to add them to my map, not custom spells, new spells. Like say if i wanted to have 2 types of blizzard. I could make the new spell is DoD spell editor, but if i were to put it in the map, then WE would delete the new spell once i put it in. I could make a new folder and that would work if only i were to use the map, but in order to put them into the map on bnet, i would have to give the spell to the unit within WE, thereby causing it to be deleted. Would i have to give it to the unit in WE, let the new file be deleted, and then add it again so that it would be given to the unit and in the mpq for the map?

You just have to re add it every time you edit the map. No way to get around that.
