Which ability can I use for a passive area damage reduction spell? |

If you mean straight numbers then no, percentages no, the closest thing I can think of is the scroll that gives armor. I'm not sure if there's anything that describes what you want to do... |

"Passive area spell"? You mean like an Aura? If it's passive, how can it be a spell (since spells are active)? |

Isn't there something that prevents melee damage? Like... Thorns Aura? |

I mean reducing the enemies' damage not increasing our armor, kind of like the Necrolyte skill Diffusion Aura in DOTA. I thought it was like giving a negative percentage in Command Aura, but that doesn't work. And yes, I meant an Aura, sorry if I confused you. Or does it involves triggers? |

Explain this "Diffusion Aura" and we might be able to help you. As for reducing enemies' damage, a command aura with a negative % bonus should work perfectly... you probably didn't set the "targets allowed" correctly. |

Diffusion Aura diffuses a % of the damage dealt to the Necrolic into the 'area' around him (Damage Detect). I'm not sure if all nearby enemy units take the % of damage or if the % is equally distributed between them, i suspect the latter as soloing seems to cause more diffuse damage than when attacking in groups. |

Diffusion Aura A 450 range aura that makes the might of an enemy leak out in the presence of Rotund'jere. Level 1 - 9% damage reduction. Level 2 - 18% damage reduction. Level 3 - 27% damage reduction. Level 4 - 36% damage reduction. Passive http://www.dota-allstars.com/hero/1699/index.html I wanted to make something like that. |

Looks like you're going to need an attack detection engine. Look around, I believe we have 3 in the resources section and 1 in the graveyard. |

Command aura with negative values ffs. |

It's not the same thing. He wants to reduce damage done to allied units in an area near the hero. Using command aura would only reduce the enemies' max damage to all units, including other units that were enemies of both players. |

I tried Command Aura, but you can't use negative values. So is there some other skill, or do I need to use triggers? |
