Im wondering because i saw some crazy concept art on a website, its for Creature of the week, and it inspired me to try and start drawing on the computer... and even on here there are really fantastic artists, Ex: Ewrt, -chris-chan-, TDR, and more so yeah i tryied to search it up before posting this, but couldnt find anything, so i decided to post :D well umm i was just wondering where did you guys learn to draw like that? did you self teach? or did you find some tuts that helped you out? please tell me, i really want to learn, i've been experimenting, but all the drawings come out the same, ugly and strange... lol |

not so sure, I think its more of an innate skill some people are just naturally really good, and can sit down and just own, perhaps I am wrong however |

They spent years of their life copying the works of Blizzard artists such as Samwise. |

not sure, how serious those were, who posted before i do, but: if you really want to draw, then you should simply do it. Im not as good as some artists here and million miles away from the artists on www.conceptart.org, a page you really should check out, but i noticed that when i had phases where i practices a lot, i saw improvement. and if you have this motivation to learn you will see improvemnets, maybe only step by step but there will be some. and ive heard once, first of all, art is a handcraft, and so learnable for everyone. start a sketchbook on ConceptArt and dont give up too fast when there are no replys in the beginning, if you update it regulary, people will answer, and give you helpful tips... keep us updated with your art too... |

It is a good thing. It makes us what we are: artists. People who come in here "lulz i suw this drawing and i was liek, AWSUM, i wnt do that, how i do?" are fucking retards. Drawings isnt something you start doing one day, drawing is something you have always been doing. |

it also helps to draw from life. Do some still life. If you get pissed and frustrated and quit then you don't deserve to be an artist. Imagination stems from reality. You need a base to break it. Give it a few years and you'll be on your way. |

computer yes is tricky in start, it require time and training as any other thing. Wat it require it Time only. If u are good at drawing and is willing to spend time, then any drawing program can get u going. I couldnt do digital painting until i got here and was inspired by TDR, and he gave me some tips, so now i can do it. But still not good, because i never paint a whole scene, i start shading bit by bit which isnt good... tat is wat im training atm... i will do it someday :P |

You're going to need a tablet, though. Start with using scanned lines and coloring them with the mouse. But eventually you'll need a tabbler. |
