Are you sure you should've left pencil and paper? I think you learn faster on paper and then transpose what you learned onto digital faster... but w/e. :D |

somehow i confused you with Tiki.... then it just now clicked.. oh .. theres a U in your name instead of an I. but ya. Id start off with pen and paper of still-lifes or referenced pictures, then go into digital. Digital was much harder for me to learn.. especially if you plan to work w/ color. There needs to be more light and dark values. Your camera has too much grey. |

I believe you're drawing with a tablet. Even though that's way better than a mouse it doesn't quite feel like a real pencil. You get more line control with a real pencil. I strongly suggest practicing with traditionnal media first to get a strong base and if you really want those "vibrant" colors then you can scan your pencil lines and colour em on pc. |

that little bit of line control you lose with a tablet realy frustrates me =( |

once you get used with the tablet that problem will disappear, but anyway I always prefer to draw on paper, scan and color digitally over doing everything digitally. |

its same thing as u learn to eat with sticks, some thing its hard and stupid while they could use spoon. But i think its great and can be used for anything :P Same goes to learning tablet, in start it was like hell... but after a while it pwns |
