i looked through the systems for jass and gui for showing damage as floating text. i dont know much jass and the gui one leaks so i wanted to think of ways to do it without messing with triggers. i found a way to have floating damage text without using triggers at all. ill upload a sample map so people can use it. |

As you said, just use critical strike. Set the "Chance to Critical Strike" to 100 and "Damage Multiplier" to 1 (its the same as your normal attack damage). Then just give any unit the ability. If you want to hide the aiblity you'll need to use triggers. For instance putting the aiblity in a spell book then hiding the spell book with triggers. Looks like you figured it out. My demo map also uses the spell book method to hide the ability. |
