User Titles

Why do user titles require 30 rep points? I'm not complaining im just asking because it seems pointless to require rep points for something so insignificant.

Motivation to become active?

Try and give Rep a meaning so people would actually care when given shiny red squares?

Because in the past, under old ownerships, User Titles had to be purchased with 'money' (or something). Also, they were once free-reign, you could get one whenever. I'm assuming you have to get rep for one so that it inspires you to be active and contribute to the community rather than signing up, making an account, and making your user title "LOL i r teh leet".

It used to be 60, actually. So don't complain about it being 30.

Dude, yes you are complaining. You said "I'm not complaining, but it seems pointless to require rep for something so insignificant." Take out the "I'm not complaining, but" and it's a complaint. You are contradicting yourself.

Rep is a reward for contributing constructively to the WC3C community - And therefore, getting a custom user title is a reward for being contributing constructively to the community.

We did it on purpose so you had a reason to complaint, you should thank us.
