I'm trying to thing of a spell that uses sleep, but puts a creative spin on it. The spell would be used on creeps, so pvp skills wouldn't be very useful. +rep for a good idea of course. |

Maybe add nightmares, so the target has a chance to fumble attacks after waking up. |

Hmmm, that actually is a pretty good idea to dummy cast curse after they wake up. |

happy dreams, you get some sort of bonus when you wake up, like.... being healed or given an armour bonus |

There are a couple of things from other games that you can use. FFX had a Blitzball ability called Gamble or something. It activated whenever the character woke up from sleep. What it did was randomize the character's stats (stopping with X). The stats would gradually return to normal overtime. Pokemon has something like that too. If the pokemon's asleep, there's an ability called Sleep Talk (something related to that name), which randomly uses one of the pokemon's learned skills. I guess you could have a unit randomly use one of their abilities every so often on the nearest target. There was another technique from somewhere, where if the character fell asleep, all surrounding units fell asleep, too. Or, you can inflict some other ailment. Or, you can deal AoE damage when a unit awakes. You know, when people wake up, they may do some crazy stuff... Like hitting people in the nose or slapping you in the face. On accident, of course. |

Another thing you could do is: Tortured Sleep Casts an enemy hero into a hideous nightmare filled sleep. Every second in this state the hero loses 1 point of intelligence and 1% attack speed. The loss is not permanent. Hero can be woken by being struck 5 times by friend or foe. Maybe not the easiest thing to be coded, but hell, its fun right? Note the 1 can be anything you want it to be. |

Heal while sleep, puts a targeted unit to sleep. The unit regains X HP over Y seconds. Stops healing if the unit wakes up. Damage while sleep, puts a targeted enemy unit to sleep. The unit loses X hp over Y seconds. If the unit is awoken before he loses all the hp possible from this ability he gains 2*The amount of hp lost,s o in efffect he gains the hp the target would've lost instead of losing it. |
