I want to create something like a shield ,that has a specific life ,specific life regeneration and more options.I've found something like this but it can't be copied. Can you give me some ideas about how to do this?? |

Er, I think he clearly has stated what he wants. I have no idea. The closest thing I've got is something to do with Custom Integers. Personally, I'm pretty interested in shields too. |

Personally, I don't want to lead you step by step through the whole process. It's pretty intuitive though, just keep track of the shield's health and other stats through a struct "attached" to the unit, then whenever that unit takes damage subtract health from the shield. If the shield's health is below 0, remove it. |

im thinking something along the lines of a unit that stays at the location of the unit, and will be only selectable by the owning player + allies, and will, by the use of triggers, take a portion or all of the damage when the unit is attacked, some thing like: Event: A unit is atttacked Condition: Attacked unit has "Sheild" buff Actions: damage unit "sheild" for 90% of damage dealt to Attacked unit If, Multiple actions; Condition: Unit "sheild" dies Action: Remove buff "Sheild" from Attacked unit (of course this is very rough, probably not the actual names of the natives but meh, but thats the general idea) and so when the sheild dies the buff is removed, and every1 is happy! |
