Story The fight with the Scourge and the living continues on with neverending brutality and atrocity. To many of the Argent Dawn, who are not as safe as the night elves the war seems like it will never end. Word of the Lich King defeating Illidan has reached the ears of the living as well. Not only that, but this Lich King is reborn, empowered, and unshackled by the confines of the Frozen Throne. This news spread terror throughout Azeroth (Note this takes place around the time of WoW, the Lich King had been freed long before news reached them). However the lands of the Argent Dawn are secure for now, and their mages have sensed a large scale magical explosion in the Dragon Blight, the Blue Dragons have sensed this as well, coming to the conclusion that the blast was from a shield gaurding a laboratory that was hidden until now, what frightens the dragons however is that there are two more shields which purpose is to keep things trapped within... Fearing that the Scourge are attempting to make magical weapons the Argent Dawn begins getting ready to gather the elite of the races... Welcome to Hunters of Shadow, You can be either the Mercenaries or a few warped hideous monsters for the laboratory. For the good you can be any race you want. For the evil...be inventive and FAIR!. I can only have a maximum of (maybe) 8 characters for the good and a 6 characters for the evil. You can be a minion or have a minion, and please if you haven't, read the rules and reread them if you haven't in a while. The Story so far... Argent Dawn Mercenary The Argent Dawn Characters gather at Stormwind and learn of their mission, they soon get on the S.S. Sea Dove, there Forsaken Pirates attack the ship and Glen, Phantom, Garet, Mat, and Loraine fight them off. Garet remembers his past, very soon the Argent Dawn lands at Northrend, they talk for some time, Glen goes into the Dragonblight and thinks about his battles with the Scourge, he comes back and shortly afterward the Scourge assaults the town the Argent Dawn is residing in, in massive numbers they assault and a fight insues, after battling off the Scourge the Argent Dawn sets off into the Dragonblight, from there they discover someone or something tore through a massive amount of undead, more than likely setting off the Scourge attack, Soon they reach the sealed off lab with an unstable quarantine shield, Garet destroys it but causing his companions to fear for his life when it explodes, they enter the lab and are struck by an intensely powerful malevolent presence, Glen uses the Holy Light to push the full force of it away. From there Natheme Rakgon, looking for answers to his past has heard the rumors of the explosions and finds the lab, Glen and company had found the Primary AI, who after conferring got the layout of the station, and managed to activate defenses and food, water, and places to sleep through the use of the station AIs, the AIs are magically created entities. Natheme enters and is noticed by Garet amoungs the conferring Argent Dawn members, Natheme is challanged to a dual by Garet to test how strong Natheme is, Natheme after a short fight manages to wound Garet, which pleases Garet, after that Garet considers Natheme worthy of him, Natheme is accepted into the group, Loraine has wandered off in the middle of the fight with only Mat to look after her, Mat fails at life and looses her to Half Moon... From there, the story is to be continued Experiments The experiments meet, Twisted orders the creations to sabotage the machinery in the lower levels of the lab, Hssiss goes from living dragon to arcane subverted undead, he absorbs the shields to the laboratory keeping the experiments in and enters, thus the sabotage of the machinery does not happen. Then The console read: Primary Quarantine measures established at 1093 at point of shield failure, experiments are free, all access to between all levels are cut off. Shortly afterward, the experiments are brought back and Twisted discovers something that shocks him Twisted's head darted to another console as it lit up, words went across the screen - Initiate War Golem production, begin mass manufacture, begin Geneforge preparation cycles, send power to the power crystals, awaken needed machinery, power beacon and call Experiment X1-R to lab Twisted's eyes widened, none of those functions could be activated without the control of a human or the master himself, but Twisted had killed him...so how...? Golems are sent out to retrieve any experiments that may have escaped, the shields are up and no movement for experiments is possible, Hssiss once more moves forth and absorbs the shields holding Twisted, he then procedes to absorb the rest of the quarantine shields The war golems are activated and assualt the experiments, compared to any regular mortal army they are lethal, but are matched toe to toe with the experiments, they are directed by unknown means. They fight with the golems and the story cuts off there Not much of anything has happened with the Experiments, now that the Argent Dawn is here the fun really begins Things of interest in the lab The lab is layed out as such Level 1 - Greeting Hall, Quarantine Halls, and Living quarters Level 2 - Research Halls, Library Level 3 - Heavy Research, Growth Labs Level 4 - Genetic Splicing Level 5 - ??? Level 6 - ??? Level 7 - ??? Hidden Level(8) - ??? Level 9 - Lab Machinery, Reactor Cores (4 Reactors) Level 1 is the entrance, from there the levels proceded downward deeper and deeper into the earth, there visitors are greeted, the quarantine halls stop experiments from escaping (these were nullified by Hssiss), the living quarters is self-explanatory Level 2 - The research halls are for minor research, the library is a no duh Level 3 - Heavy Research is where the more extensive research of the mysteries of the world occur, the Growth Labs is where the experiments were grown Level 4 - Genetic Splicing is where the genetic research takes place, and how the mages put together their creations Level 5 - From here on down the exact purposes of all areas are unknown Level 9 - The machinery that keeps the lab running is here, that and the main power source Golems Except these golems were not ordinary golems, these golems were developed in the lab, they were sleeker, faster, stronger, more resiliant, and more deadly. They were war golems, they had several variations, the blade golem, four arms with blades for hands, the fire golem, with red hot molten hands that can hurl globs of fiery magma to scorch an enemy, the ice golem, with lonf blades of ice that can freeze foes from a distance or up close, the jeweled golem, with inset gemstones that allowed it to fire beams of lethal energy, and finally the demon golem, the most lethal of the bunch, and intelligent enough to command, in the shape of a winged demon they could even wield magic, and were the most physically strong. Experiments The Shadowstalkers, spiderlike creatures that played the roles of assassins, moving about in stealthy or lightning quick movements to stab and harry a foe, they served as a hit and run force The Swarm, a mass group of insect like creatures, called this for their tendancey to overwhelm with large numbers OOC: Associate this with the Zerg and I'll kill you, bring it up and I'll kill you, they served as the primary forces for the experiments, they have a hive mentality and thus are highly organized Then there are the Nameless, those that there are rarely more than 3 of at a time, and are so varied there are countless variations, tentacles, claws, fur, scales, skin, slime, gaping maws and hideous roars, the Swarm have the most numbers, but the Nameless are the most powerful of the generic experiments, being larger and stronger than the Shadowstalkers or Swarm, they are the shock troopers of the experiments. OOC: Basically the Nameless are a large amount of varied experiments, that are so varied and few of the variations they aren't named for species but grouped into one simple for all of them, I am stating this so there can be no confusion Location:Initially in the Argent Dawn for when the RP chars meet and get ready to go to... The Dragon Blight! The place the RP heroes will end up going is the source of the magical explosion to investigate a laboratory that is east of the Azjol-Nerub Entrance resting right up next to the Zul'Drak (that big Zu thats cut off). Scouts reported that the surrounding area was filled with choking magical energy and undead who had been drivin mad and filled with power by the energy. Most of the Dragonblight is a single valley, sloping southward to the Shiverwind Coast. Low hills rise along the sides, taller to the east where they butt up against the Grizzly Hills and Zul’Drak. To the north a thin line of tall, sharp-edged cliffs breaks the land where Icecrown Glacier begins. The western edge borders Lake Wintergrasp, and the ground there is low and even and frozen solid. Many animals live here, feeding off the dragons’ remains. Birds, bears, spiders, wolves and bats all tear at the remains or at each other. Wendigo and sasquatch, and worg packs live here as well. Thanks to the Scourge, undead animals wander here as well, killing and converting the living where they can. Treasure is rumored to lie beneath draconian bones, but vigilant dragons watch this sacred ground for foolhardy graverobbers. Important Locations Stormwind Keep The meeting location where the RP characters gather S.S. Sea Dove Boat in which the party uses to get to Northrend Nameless Laboratory: The laboratory is set into the side of the Zul'Drek mountains, it is surrounded by a 2 mile radius crater and scorched earth. From what the dragons can tell whoever created it was more advanced then the most advanced races on the planet. Two more shields stop entrance or exit from either side. But with one down, how long can that last? Past of Laboratory:A nameless group of rogue mages led by a genius man, they advanced swiftly making break throughs with amazing magical techniques that would astound the world when revealed. They never got the chance, thousands of monstrous experiments broke out of the holding chambers, slaughtering all the personal with vigor. The leader met his end at the hands of Twisted. They stood for the pursuit of knowledge, and the use of that power to further mankind. Through their arrogence, they fell....or was it through their arrogence? They served no one but themselves, undoubtedly the demons felt irked by this... Important NPC's High Priestess MacDonnell One of the more well known Templar of the Argent Dawn, here to hire mercenary heroes to investigate the laboratory. Malygos The Blue Dragonflight Aspect of Magic, what purpose he serves...I'm not gonna tell you. Captain Thomas O'Riley Captain of the Sea Dove Djo'Djaxx The Sea Dove bartender, very friendly Snotty Squidtusk The chef of the Sea Dove, dislikes being called "snotty" Accepted Character's Gathered Elite Glen Heartwing(Hunter of Shadows) Phantom(Hunter of Shadows) Mat Quickblade(Hunter of Shadows) Loraine Kertorth (Ignitedstar) Garet Jax(Hunter of Shadows) Zer'Thul(Plasma Dragon) Natheme Rakgon(MasterAtherion) Experiments Twisted(Hunter of Shadows) Half-Moon and Full-Moon(Ignitedstar) Hssiss(Plasma Dragon) Agradus the Haunter(un_known) Apparently everyone but me likes to create monsters and not normal chars :P |

OOC: We are gonna start now, you can still make characters for a while but hurry! Endless dark, the pulse of power and thrum of machinery, ever moving, never silent. The area is filled with debris, the parts of countless mechanical golems rent apart. The sounds of monsters roaming the halls are never silent...Then the air is still and the silent with the exception of the machinery that never stops...a prescence draws close, and I can hear something...moving...in the dark... Phantom opened his eye, he sat in a large oaken tree somewhere in the surrounding area of Stormwind. That was strange...I don't remember that place, or having dreams... He uncurled from where he had been "sleeping" he did not sleep, but did go dormant to conserve energy. Abruptly he heard the screams of people. He rushed off to the source of the sound, a caravan of people were surrounded by those Phantom surmised were bandits. "Take it all boys," said one he assumed was the leader "Take all the valuables!" One man said "Hey that's my wife's ring! You can't tak-!" suddenly a fist connected with the man's stomach "Did I say you can talk? Kill him!" The man groaned as he was lifted up and one bandit hefted a spear. He threw and...blinked as he realized the spear was no longer there. He pulled another one and went to throw and...blinked and said "OY who's filchin me throwin spears!" None of the bandits even glanced at him, the two holding the man looked at each other said "Hey, don't look at us man!" He growled "Well whoever is doin it better 'fess up before I-" BAM!!! he went sailing and a nasty cruch filled the clearing as his face reached it's appointment with a tree. The whole place froze, only the birds could be heard. The leader growled and said "Who the hell did that? I won't be havin you boys causin trouble by fightin each other!" A ridiculous statement, no one had that kind of strength. "You did it didn't...no it was YOU!" he yelled whirling around pointing at the exact hiding spot of Phantom. Phantom sighed and whirled out ward landing outward. He snarled "You scum who prey off of the weak! Prepare to face the wrath of some who CAN defend themselves!" Several moments later the rest of the bandits lay in various stages of batterment and unconciusness. Before he beat the leader sensless he asked him "Why were you here?" the leader spat a tooth at Phantom "I ain't tellin you nuthin!" Phantom took this matter of factedly "Okay, if you want it that way..." he raised a fist menacingly "Uh no! don't beat me sensless! We came because the Argent Dawn discovered some magical explosion in the Dragon Blight and think the Scourge is up to somethin'! They gatherin as many people as they can to investigate! We figured it meant more people to rob!" Phantom nodded and said "Okay I believe you." The man sighed with relief and said "Does this mean I can go no-" he was cut off as Phantom walloped him hard enough in the face to knock out at least a couple more teeth. Turning to the people he said "Gather your valuables and go to Stormwind and inform the authorites." He melted away into the background and started off to Stormwind. If those people were going to hurt the Scourge, he wanted to help. |

OOC: Hehehe, my turn to start! --- "Hold your damn horses!" Loraine yelled. Her patient was trying to run away! She wasn't going to let that happen. Not in her lifetime; nope. She grabbed the man by his side and shoved him back into place. "I'm gonna be late for the meeting!" He replied, shouting. Loraine felt disgusted as she felt the spit of the man splatter on her face. All right, she just wanted to knock him out unconscious right now. But she couldn't do that; she a doctor! And doctors do their job first. "Like I care. I'm almost done- just shut up and stand still!" She patched some cotton and strapped it onto the man's wound with adhesive. As soon as she felt it stuck on, she let go the panicking man and he zoomed away as soon as possible. Loraine grabbed a tissue off of the sanitized table for the who-knows-how-many-ith time and wiped her face of the sweat and spit. "Honestly, can't people just calm down a bit more?" She knew about the new exploration and all, but it sucked because she wasn't going. (Yet) One of the commanders were wandering in the hall and saw her cleaning herself. "Hahaha!" The grizzly man laughed a terrible laugh, "Having fun, eh?" "For your information: No," she quickly replied, then asked, "I don't get it. How come I'm not going?" She opened a drawer from the table and began to sort a number of materials. The man leaned against the doorway, "How many times do I have to tell you? We need you HERE, especially when things get serious." "But the patients are going out THERE!" Loraine wanted to make her point, "What's the point in me staying here if the injured have to come here anyways? It's not like they're coming back for awhile, too. I could be saving lives at the moment they're in danger instead of strutting around until they come." The man looked bored. Loraine had said this a dozen times too many. "I KNOW!" He yelled impatiently, "That's what I'm telling them." He sighed and calmed down. Loraine decided to listen to him; it may have been insightful. "We can't afford to lose you, that's why they won't let you go. I won't let you go." Loraine frowned as she walked up to the man. With a sweet taunting voice, she said, "Awww... Really? I didn't know you guys cared so much." Within a moment, she kicked the man on the legs. He almost lost balance and stumbled back on sturdy feet. "Ahaha!" Loraine laughed hysterically, "Come on! Try again. Please?" The guy looked flustered with anger and sympathy, "Gee," he finally said something, "Now you know how I feel when I can't go on this mission." --- I'm waiting for you to introduce your experiment guy, Shadow. Then I'll post concerning Half Moon and Full Moon. |

OOC: Mwahahaha okay Star, enter TWISTED! Dreaming endless, dreams...the dreams of darkness, and blood, and the screams of his victims...then the dream ended... BOOM! The lab rocked violently, and Twisted awoke... His four eyes opening, he felt it...At last...one of the shields...is down...the others can't be too far from going down themselves...time to rally the rest of the miserable worms... Twisted had been curled up rather comfortably in one of the Creation Hall vats, not only with the power still running to keep it warm, but the nutrient goo that nurtured growing creations was still there. All in all it was a comfortable place to sleep. Not only that, but he had it all to himself as no creature in the lab was willing to go near him. Too afraid of being tortured or rent to pieces. Of course...I AM mad... The monster came fully awake and let loose his soul-chilling roar, he felt the other monsters respond, as his call had been a simple Wake...up, the time has come. He felt the lab awaken as age old machinery woke up and began to power the lab again. The dark things of the lab ran too him, keeping their distance. He gave his instructions One of the shields has gone down! Move quickly and work towards obliterating the other shields! We WILL be free! The monsters began to move, still restricted to the 2nd level they would simply be stuck, but they would cause a large amount of havoc, and they didn't need to reach the entry halls to bring down the shields The machinery at the lower levels, quickly! Twisted grinned demonically, at last...soon they would be free...to do what they willed... |

Glen sat at a desk at the camp which was a small distance into Scourge territory, filling out reports and poring over his battle plans Why did they pick me? I'm not even that good a commander, just because I'm a Paladin and one of their best soldiers doesn't mean they have to give me a post I don't deserve. He sighed, Mat was off dicing with the soldiers, by the end of the night they would all refuse to dice with him again. Glen smiled ruefully, I remember the last time he got me to dice with him, after that I decided that in the future my pouch would suffer less if I didn't play with him at all. He knew that a Paladin of the Holy Light wasn't supposed to gamble, but Mat had been fairly convincing that he should play just one game. He didn't know where Garet was, but then he was probably somewhere else where he could be alone All these people make him unconfortable, he can't stand it, he barely tolerates Mat as it is!. Glen also knew that Garet didn't like how the men were always in awe of the "legendary Weaponsmaster." Then a man entered, Glen recognized him as a messenger. Without looking up he said "Speak quickly man I have reports to fill out." The man did not look fazed at all and said "That won't be the case, you are called to Stormwind to gather with other Argent Dawn to investigate the-" Glen saw it coming "Source of the explosion?" he asked, he had felt it as well. The man blinked then "How did you know?" he asked confusedly "I'm half dragon and trained in the art of magic, of course I felt it." The man blinked and said "Well you have your orders, move quickly!" then was shocked when suddenly there was a cold-eyed man staring at him, an unnerving thing when the man has blood red eyes "Are you saying that the damn templar want me to abandon the men this far into Scourge territory!? Morale is bad enough as it is, if their Lord Dragon disappears they will lose heart!" The man looked at him and sighed "Don't get mad at me, I'm just telling you what they told me, I'm sorry they are asking this and I understand, we all have to do things we don't like sometimes." Glen snarled "Fine! CAPTAIN!" A man in armor walked in "Yes commander?" he asked and Glen responded wearily "I've been called to Stormwind, your in command, make sure the men don't lose heart, don't attack, just hold that position." The man nodded "Yes sir, I will see to it." Glen walked out and said "Zepplin?" the messenger nodded "Grab your things, and your friends, we have to go soon." Glen nodded and went to find both Mat and the more elusive Garet. |

Garet stood atop a tall cliffside, far away from the other's, for the most part the only person he could stand to be around was Glen. He doesn't look at me like i'm the most amazing warrior on the planet... he smirked for a moment even though I probably am the most amazing warrior on the planet. He probably was, twenty-five battles and fights, and I didn't lose a single one... He had yet to find the warrior that could challenge him and win, ever he sought that warrior. Most cannot belive it when they manage to get out of me I took on seven assassins at once and came out alive fairly unharmed. He smiled at the memory, the men who had been sent to kill him could not believe how fast he could move that was their undoing, not that it would've changed anything... Glen and Mat hadn't been able to comprehend how, okay Mat couldn't begin to comprehend how one man could kill seven trained assassins, Glen after a few moments laughed and said "Well...that's Garet for you..." he walked off chuckling quietly to himself. Mat simple stared with his jaw hanging down, along with the whole town. Garet heard something suddenly and his sword was out in a flash. "Garet? Where are you? I don't have all day get out here!" He smiled, Glen, then he wiped the smile off. Glen would be unnerved to find a smiling Garet. He noticed Glen sooner than he noticed him and then was standing next to him. Glen was unfazed, used to this by now "There you are! Gather your things, we have to go, and put that away." Garet started in surprise then hid it and said after sheathing his sword "Why?" he said in his customary flat voice, Glen looked back as he walked off "The Argent Dawn wants us to do something for us, come on i'll explain along the way." Garet stared after him, then wordlessly moved to do as Glen asked. |

OOC: Hmmm... --- A tiny pool of water had formed from the drops of moisture that had liquified from the ceiling. They gathered together, crawled down the scalactites headed towards the ground as pins to their prisoner. They dripped an unsettling drip, squirting their lives onto the cold embracing stone floor. There was only so much, but it was enough for Half Moon. He has been in situations like this before. It was times not worth remembering, so the fur ruffled wolf did not think about it. Everything time he did, he could hear the growling of his own voice, "Then I came along and set us free." He did not want to say it; he wanted to say it. He wanted it to be expressed. He wanted him to be grateful. But the feeling ever came. Half Moon had become passive. He could not think of anything anymore. There was no point. Anything that passed my his mind would go through his, too. The two of them shared memories, just as they shared one body. It had been quite a long time since Half Moon ate anything solid. He was living off of the rancid taste of the water, but it was enough to keep him alive. His could feel his bones ache everytime he tried to get comfortable, which was impossible with a dead floor. He could hear nothing from outside. There was only the scuffling of rats as they desperately ate their way into carasses of dead experiments. The iron barred cage and the unrelenting shackles on their paws are the only thing stepping between them and their freedom. They've tried again and again to get out, but they only ended up injuring themselves. For what little strength Half Moon had remaining he used it to resist Full Moon. He would constantly exhort himself to unwanted existance. It would not last long. If what whatever twisted animal is wanting to be free of this damned world of their. Full Moon wouldn't take any of it either. --- OOC: Aw, now I feel bad... Until Full Moon starts ripping people to shreds and gorging on their guts. |
| 11-03-2007, 03:32 PM | #8 |
OOC: I don't know about gut ripping, but I do know that Full Moon will get to shred! Mat lay there in his rooms, they had been prepared for him before he even got to Stormwind. Well jeez, I knew I was an amazing person but not THAT amazing! He rolled the dice idly in his hands. There was always a silver lining to this, last night he had enjoyed himself immensely, the results of his fun last night lay beneath his bed in the form of three fat purses, all filled with numerous coins. Those people couldn't believe what hit them, my luck wins almost every time. Humming merrily to himself he got up and began wandering the halls. This place reeks of money! Fine tapestries lined the wall and as he turned the corner looking around with interest he ran BAM straight into a women. He stood up and offered her a hand, she wore simple clothes and piercing emerald eyes stared up at him with an annoyed expression. "Hey, no need to get offended!" he said laughingly "How come your out here?" |
| 11-04-2007, 07:12 PM | #9 |
OOC: Hahaha, good one Shadow. --- Who're you, creep? Is what Loraine wanted to say outloud. With an outrageous expression she could hear herself reply, Now, now. There's no need to scuffle. "What am I doing here? What are YOU going here?" Loraine glady took his hand and stood up while looking at the man's face. He'd be awfully cute if he didn't have that scar on his forehead. And why does he look so happy? Something was plain wrong with this guy."You look SUSPCIOUS," she eyed the chingling bags. --- Half Moon figured that this would happen eventually. The eve of when they would be captured again after being captured the second time... Author's Note: This was before all of the explosions and stuff. It had been a fortnight since they were taken away from the human's homeland. It wasn't hard to count the moons and suns that passed by everyday. It seemed to be the only thing moving amongst the vast water, rising and waning tides, purple things encaging them, and the silence between all of their relative kin. They knew what was going to happen. They've seen others come and go like this. It was enevitable; they had become slaves to the Humans. Full Moon would not let the Humans have their way. Half Moon would not let Full Moon have his way. Though he was hungry, the wolf saw what lay before them. It was just like the other humans. The other humans that trapped Half Moon and had gave birth to Full Moon. However, this time it was much more devastating. Within their cage, they only needed to see the outside of this laboratory to know what awaited them. There were thousands of experiments. As they were carried in, the wolf recognized a few for they were from the destruction of Dalaran, too. He stared into their eyes. They saw nothing. There was no challenge, there was no hope. These ones must have seen countless more creatures being introduced. It became normal. Half Moon remembered to the best of his abilities of how to leave the damned place. They were exactly in the fourth cage, seventh section on the right, second regional, fourth floor. At least they were in a cage with a tiny crack in the wall. There wouldn't be a point in trying to subdue it; they were too high from the ground outside. It would be day Half Moon would be taken in for analysis. They instantly knew where he was from and who he belonged to. "Dalaran, no doubt," as the human poked Half Moon on the side, pointing at the strange symbol that the other humans had put there. They were holding some papers. They looked important, for the he watched the human's eyes scanning it over and over again, as if unsure of what to do with him. --- I'm not going any further. This pretty much goes into all of the people leaving/dying and the explosion occurs. Then it continues with what I posted eariler, because of Twisted screeching. |

A lifeless body lay on the snow-capped ground, half buried in the crisp white blanket. Blue mist hovered around the body, it laid completely silent and unmoving. A disturbance, a twitch of a finger, and the eyelids jolted open revealing a torn mass of clots and a blood stained face raised itself from the snow. Small amused chuckles emanated from the corpse. He slowly stood up, the blanket of white falling back to the ground. Cold dead hands brought themselves to the man's face. More laughter came from his pale and blue mouth. He scratched his face with his right hand and felt the dry blood that came off on his finger tips. He felt it between his index and thumb and clenched his fist. Bringing his left hand to the one with blood, he matched the fingers and thumb to each other. Digging at the bloody hand, he clawed and dug slits down each digit. bringing the slits all the way down to his elbow, he removed the sharp claws. The slits did not shed much blood, he must have been out for sometime. All he could remember was the blast. Dismissing the thought, he grabbed the back of the hand with slits and pulled, tearing the gang green skin from his sky blue colored bones. Dropping the leather-like skin to the ground, he brought the skeletal hand to his face and brushed the hard fingers against his face. Had he the ability, he would have shuddered in amazement. He had no hesitation, he ripped his face clear off. It fell to the ground, a face in the snow to be buried. A cold mist emanated from his eye sockets, he tore at them, digging the clots and nerves out. The mist gathered more and spun themselves in his sockets. The mist rushed and ice began to appear and build themselves to the size of eyeballs. The mist gathered into the eyes of ice and shone brightly from inside them. He continued to laugh, even more manically. Taking steps and laughing after every one, he itched his stomach but the itch wouldn't go away. He clawed and dug, his intestines spilled out from the hole he dug in himself. There came the satisfaction, no more itch. An annoying organ, he pulled it until he could not pull any more, then tore it out at both ends, leaving it in his wake. He laughed even more so, he could do these things all day, but he looked up at a large massive purple dome. How could he not have noticed such a thing earlier? It brimmed with energy and how he had a hunger for it. He stepped hastily towards it and brought his skeletal right hand towards the energetic field. Letting out a bloodthirsty scream, he dug his clawed hand into the field. The energy zapped him but he held his hand in. His maniacal laugh echoed out, the energy burning at him, disintegrating what skin he had left. He robe tore and burned and he laughed even more. His whole body was having a seizure and he enjoyed it. A large metallic clank came from inside the field and the shield phased out. Panting with the broken lungs of his, he chuckled. His now skeletal body smoldered and smoked. He looked down at his robe and noticed its poor condition. The skeleton waved his hand over the poor areas and they were repaired and replaced with a blue sparkling cloth. He chuckled again and looked back up, a large building in sight. The former man walked clumsily towards it, humming a tune of old. He reached a door and reached for the handle, it would not open. He slowly breathed and pressed his two skeletal hands onto the metallic surface, one on top the other. He concentrated and a cold mist shrouded around his hands. Had he any lips, he would be grinning, for the door that stood before him was now surrounded in ice. His hands were still up against it and he whispered a single word in a tongue not recognizable, the frozen door shattered to pieces. More laughter and without wasting much time, he took a step inside. He took notice to the door hinges holding up a thin metallic rod used to keep the door in its place. He pointed at the hinges and bursted them like the door and took the rod for himself. He examined it, it had met 3/4s of his hight. He looked at the top and it was bare, in need of something. He concentrated again and spoke a few unrecognizable words, the whole rod was glazed in ice. The tip was now a crystal of ice, surrounded by three smaller versions pointing about a 45 degree angle from the main. He held it in both hands with pride as it now met his hight with the ice crystals on top. He used it like a walking stick in both hands. He felt his face once more and the eyes of ice shrouded a mist. He tore a strip off his robe and it turned a dull blue in his magical hands. He then wrapped the strip around his eyes and tied it behind his skull. Chuckling once more, he took more steps, becoming less clumsy from his energetic jolt and made his way into the halls of the dark and metallic building. |

OOC:Did Hssiss just absorb the shields!? 0_o daaang it works! Goodjob adapting it! Mat rubbed his head ruefully and said in a confused tone "Why do I look suspicious? That's kind've harsh you know!" Then he followed where her eyes where looking and jumped startled "HEY I am NOT a thief! I didn't steal this at all! You wouldn't believe how I got this much money fairly anyway!" She looked skeptical and Mat glared back and said (being offended by even the implication that he was a thief) "I am here to go on the expedition with Glen Heartwing and Garet Jax, also with some ice troll or something...what?" He had no idea he had just struck a chord... -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Twisted widened his eyes in shock as he felt the shields go down At laaassst... he grinned happily in a way that would make most normal people want to kill themselves. He could feel a being of power enter the laboratory, he could also sense something...strange...a body with two minds...he let off a laugh that sounded like a thousand death rattles and began to slither through the dark to meet these two... ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Glen walked down the hallways calmly, he had long sense gotten over the fact he had been forced to leave his men. He was following a simple servant to his rooms and as he turned the corner a women ran around him with an upset expression on her face. He saw Mat looking bewildered, signaled for the servant to wait and said "What did you do this time?" Mat looked astonished "Nothing! She was asking why I had all this money and I said I didn't steal anything and got it fairly and told her why I was here..." Glen looked at him a moment and said "And what was the reason?" Mat blinked and said "Only that I was on the expedition like you...was that what I said?" Glen sighed and replied "More than likely Mat, go about whatever you were doing." He signaled to the impatient servant (who was trying not look the part) to continue showing him the way to his rooms. Great, now I have to figure out what upset her so much so we don't have a problem later on... OOC: If you feel I'm not fitting their personalities please let me know |

OOC: No, he just absorbed a lot of it until they shut it off (thus the metallic clank he heard). When I said he would pop if given too much energy, that's the kind of amount I meant...but if you want him to have absorbed it, I'll accept that. "He really wasn't bothering me or anythi-" The nurse-looking lady was about to continue her sentence but someone interrupted her. "Never trust a mon carrying around dat much wealth. If dat mon stole it or not..." From the other hallway came a cyan-skinned troll with tribal gear and a full indigo face tattoo. From the size he was, he barely fit in the halls surrounding him. The people there looked towards him. It was rather awkward to see an ice troll in a hotel and not be eating or maiming someone. "He be right though, mon. If ya be going to seek da blasts in Northrend, ya will be travelin wit me, mon. I am Zer'thul, agent of da Argent Dahn from a post up in da arctics. Ya people be traveling to dem lands of ice wit me as ya guide, mon. Ya will have to excuse my clothing and accent, mon. I can't get used to what ya call "modern" cloths, ya?" The others still looked at him awkwardly. "Heheh...Relax, mon! I am not one of dem berzerk trolls. Not at all like ma brethren. Anyway, if ya want to, ya rooms are right over dair." He pointed to a few rooms at the end of the hall he was in with doors opened for them. "We will grab da next ship to Northrend's Dragon Blight when ya be ready. We will land in da Argent Dahn outpost near da Shiverwind Coast. It is saprisingly well built, has a town an everythin. Not dat cold either, no snow till higher into da Blight. Doesn't mean dair no winds, though. Dat is why we must go by ship, mon. Not Zepplin. Winds are too rough on dem floaty tings, ya?" They still looked awkwardly at him. Ice trolls really were never expected to be as intelligent as this guy. "..." Zer'thul stood up higher and crossed his arms, getting a little agitated. "Whateva, mon. Just let me know when ya want to leave, ya? I'll be in ma room..." And with that, he turned to go back to one of the rooms. |

OOC: The experiments didnt have control over the machinery yet, I suppose it just gave out, and to my amusement, I love the accent ^^ Glen stared after the troll, Mat just sat their spluttering "WHAT!? Don't trust me?! I am NOT A THIEF!" He then proceeded to simply fume with rage, Mat hated being accused of thievery. Glen shook his head and said "Well, as long as Mat wasn't bothering you, and I wouldn't worry about that being stolen, althought with his luck I suppose it technically is stealing." Mat glared indignately "Hey! I thought you were on MY side!" Glen looked back at him amusedly, "Me? Oh don't get me wrong Mat I am on your side! It's not my fault that everyone thinks your some kind of rogue just because people soon learn to stop gambling with you!" Mat merely stared then threw up his hands and walked off sayin "You people are crazy!" Glen merely chuckled amusedly. He turned to say something to the young lady and was not surprised to see she was already gone. He was tired even with his draconic blood and decided to go to sleep after getting established. |

OOC: Upset expression! Good, good... Hey... you guys- oh whatever. --- Sad luck, Loraine said to herself. He's going to that expedition of the Dawn's while I'm stuck here babysitting all of the men who come afterwards. She frowned as she walked away not facing the man that she just met. She was late and fled running. As she finally got to turn the corner where she bumped in the denying-thief another man approached but actually saw her come around. Loraine passed him without looking at his face (and didn't run into him); she was behind as is. She stopped running, wondering if the guy she just passed thought she was suspicious. More sad luck. She overheard the guy who bumped into her talk to the guy who just passed her. That must mean that he was one of the guys that he was talking about going on the trip. Damn, that's sad. She decided to run some more. Even more sad luck. She then ran into a chunky ice troll. Either the building's to big for him or he's too big for the building she moaned. She decided to run some more. Where the heck were all of these people coming from? She thought the distance would silence the voices, but they just echoed throughout the building. What the- the ice troll's going too?!? This is messed up, she thought as she glared in the direction of the voices. Loraine felt confused. It was odd- no. It was VERY odd for her to bump into three of the people who were going on the adventure of a lifetime. She would have liked to kill one of them to take their place, but that was never going to happen. Even though one of them was strange looking, the other suspicious, and the other one's a hulk, she'd still like to go. Dope! Go back! Loraine was talking to herself. "I can't," she replied aloud. They can get me out of here, though "Uh... not with them. No." She reminded herself of all three of them. "I'm already late- I don't have time for this." As she walked further into the hallway, she began to slide right and knocked on the door three times. They were very subtle, but it could be heard as it traveled through the buliding. "Come in," an elderly women replied. She opened the door and greeted her next patient. EDIT: Oops, forgot about Twisted. Hahahaha... --- OOC:Ahhhhh! Puppeteer! It came in a wave. It was very quick. It swam its way through the entire building. It sweeped across each cage. He could feel it. Half Moon felt it. It was coming. A shady voice was coming. It was loud. It was silent, too. It was evil; malicious. It shut the chatter of the bones. He heard it. It was laughing. Was it amazed? Was it laughing at them? It was hard to understand. The meaning was blurry, but the scream itself was insane. He didn't like it. He hated it. It reminded him of Full Moon. When he first met him. And he loved it. |

OOC: Which ones the hulk? Garet felt irritated to say the least, here he was actually happy to get away from the soldiers and ends up in a town full of villagers who if you could believe it were worse than the soldiers! He hated it when people hero worshipped him, it was always a painful experiance. He got up off his bed, and walked out of the room and was nearly knocked over as a women sped by him making the air whistle. Those must be some fairly powerful legs if she can run like that... He stared after her, she hadn't even tried to apoligize which was something new, most people would be sorry if they had just nearly toppled you onto the ground. He did not really care however, the rest was the speculation of someone that thought of such frivolous things, who cared why someone hadn't taken the time to say they were sorry? Garet didn't, out of a desire to explore as he had never been to Stormwind Keep he began walking in the direction she had ran. |
