Mana Shield and Armor

Okay guys, been a very long time. But I need a reference point, because I've gotten into an argument with some jerk.

Just give me a quickee answer on this matter.

Does the spell "Mana Shield" count armor amount and/or type?

No. The damage is factored without armor and the damage absorbed by mana is subtracted from that amount. The remaining damage is then applied whilst taking armor into account.
