Custom Abilities Don't Show on Hero

Okay, so I have another problem with the tutorials i've been doing in jass. But this time the problem has nothing to do with Jass just everything to do with adding custom abilities to a hero.

I made the code for a spell in my tutorial and I had to add the spell to a practice unit. I used the mountain king and I tried using what I thought was the simple add ability to unit action. It didn't work and I tried changing a bunch of values in the object editor like the icon and the position of it on the hero, the level requirements, and the race of the spell. I found the problem is that the ability just doesn't want to show up on the hero, because I added it to the heroes spell book and it won't show me the spell on the hero, or let me use it with hotkeys or w/e. So any ideas?
