Wat someone needs to make (if it doesnt already exist) is a program with gui functions like the regular trigger editor with extra functions so that you create an advanced gui trigger and then it converts it into custom text so you can put it into your real trigger editor. that would be very useful for Non-jass users like me.

P.S. i read tons of jass tutorials but i still dont understand it. noonn described what anything meant. they just told you what to do like a tutor who does the work for you instead of teaching you how to do it yourself. if anyone knows any jass tutorials that and 8th grader could understand please tell me.(i never said i was in 8th grade)

No one will ever help you with THAT topic title.

I didn't even read your post, 'cause I'm still LOLing at the title.

There is absolutely no point in spending time to make a jass to GUI program. It would probably take that person longer to make it than for you to just learn jass. GUI is just JASS with a point-and-click interface, if all of blizzard could try to make a good GUI and failed, what makes you think that one random person will do it well?
I learned jass when I was in 8th grade (im in 9th currently), which proves that it isn't impossible. Learning the basics is the hardest part.

I suffer this dilemma and here's what I have to say:

QQ some more and get UMSWE/WEU if you can't deal with the ultimately limited simplicity of GUI, or better yet do what I've attempted hundreds among thousands of times - learn JASS.

Also... doesn't vJASS or something have a syntax checker to make this job infinitely simple or something?

vJASS is an extension of regular JASS. It has nothing to do with a syntax checker.

The NewGen World Editor, however, does have an improved syntax checker.

You obviously either:

Didn't look at the gigantic collaborative JASS lesson tutorial. It's... 8 or 9 tutorials now, I believe.

OR

Are refusing to truly learn because it's hard.

I learned JASS in 7th grade. I'm currently in 9th.

If you had read the collaborative tutorial, you'd likely know JASS pretty well by now.

And a program that makes your own GUI? HAHAHAHA!!! That's one of the worst ideas, ever. We're in an age where we've completely rennovated JASS itself. Why would we have a use for a GUI-maker? (Considering the GUI is atrociously limited and can't make use of anything being produced today)

You know, the only way to make this program would be to make a GUI that is exactly "Jass with clicks" dunno if that can help you.

Nobody is forcing you to be a coder, you can be a terrainer or something else. If you don't have the aptitude to learn Jass you shouldn't be coding, no not even in GUI, you are probably nto the logic kind which means your code is quite terrible, you would be doing better somewhere else, this community does not have a coder shortage.

When i learned JASS it was from all those tuts... and i learned it when i was in 8th grade, no excuses... and im in 9th now, just like many people...

my suggestion, make triggers in GUI, then convert to JASS, then check it out, learn it... since you learned GUI first, JASS is ganna be a pain...

it took me about 1 week to learn the basics and start making little triggers...
Now im getting pretty advanced :D just take time off, to learn... just dont go for big things so soon...

Age doesn't matter though, so it doesn't make a difference.

There is a big difference between a smart, determined child and a stupid, lazy man.
