Raising Pathing Textures.

Sup everyone. I have a serious issue. I'm trying to make a tree top village... heres the catch tho... It has to be playable.

When i raise the doodad i'm using as the floor, the pathing texture stays on the ground. How can i get around this? Preferably, how can i raise the pathing texture.

Now the main thing i'm trying to avoid here is raising ground underneath my wooden boards so that units can walk on them. It looks terrible and i'd rather just not have a village if i have'ta resort to that.

Btw... if this is in the wrong section of the forum i'm sorry but i had no idea wat 2 classify this as.

It is a destructible, there is a field you can check to make units walk on the model ( something like "walkable" ) make sure its checked. If you are using doodads, you can use floating platforms at the same level as your boards, and units will walk on those.

I've set it to walkable but the unit still just walks on the floor. Also the floating platforms (i'm assumin u mean the invisible platforms) also have the same problem. Their pathing texture also remains on the ground as i raise them to the level of the wooden boards.

Have you tried it in-game though... invisible platforms do have a pathing texture but in-game how high you raise it in the editor is how high you raised it in-game so when you walk on it it'll be looking like if your units are walkin up the stairs

I think you haven't scanned through tht tutorials yet, there 2 tuts that teaches you how to make pathing maps for custom units, doodads etc., that might help

Here's one

Thanks i'll check it in game... I found a way around it ne way. Its a little more complicated but it works. Just used a spell to make the unit fly at a certain height. I mite change 2 ur idea tho. It seems to be an easier way to handle things. especially if i want to have a few different levels. Thanks
