Zombie Assault Force (zaf)

(This is just a promotional screenshot of ZAF not an actual ingame screenshot.)

TEAM:
Jaakko - Terrain, triggers, cinematics, some units, some spells (Creator of the map)
King-of_donkeys - Designing, planning, testing, some spells
The_Legacy - Testing, some units, designing

Overview of ZAF:

This map will be a bnet game that currently 10 players would be able to play. It's about fighting zombies and trying to survive. The game will have different classes such as medic, engineer, soldier, field ops etc. each having 5 unique skills to help the team. The level cap will be 50 and there will be a save load system to load your hero experience from older games.

The game will have about 10 unique weapons which are all attached to the player when he uses it. Weapons like shotgun with splash, flamethrower, minigun and sniper with the highest attack range. All weapons have different bullets and they are used from inventory. Each player can carry one weapon at a time.

There are also vehicles that consume fuel the players can use. For example a jeep that can carry up to for weapons at the same time and a good fighting machine, tank.

The game will have different enemy units and bosses making each Undead wave unique and they will require different tactics to overcome the wave. The time in the game moves on and each wave starts at the beginning of a night.

When a player dies he will respawn as a zombie soldier and then he is against his former allies. There might also be a 5v5 team play mode.

The game will have different missions to complete also.

The map uses a lot of imports and custom city doodads etc.

Also there will be a few cinematics inside the game.

Here are the basic elements what the game will include. If you have any suggestions or ideas they are welcome. There is no date for when the game will be finished.

The thing with Zombie soldier sounds good (I don't say it is original. I haven't seen it in a zombie map yet though).

There is not much other to say. You should tell us about your progress, put here some screenies or even playable version.

Those bushes are not on the street, they are in the grass terrain.

Look man, you have a night elf mountain giant on top of what appears to be a building. Also, those buildings are going to cause major problems for your camera.

What exactly makes this different to apocalypse? Other than this isnt as epic project as apo

There won't be many buildings in the map. The camera works just fine.

Who are you to judge what is epic and what is not? Duh. Well I have never seen this apocalypse so can you send a link to it and I can see what there is different.

And no the mountain giant isn't a statue it's an enemy unit but it won't be called a night elf mountain giant.

EDIT: Okay I saw that Apocalypse is an epic project but that does not change the thing people couldn't enjoy this map aswell. I can always try to improve something if people come up with suggestions. Don't you tel this map isn't nothing. Maybe you could yourself make a map that is epic and then come back. It's not so easy to make a map like this and it takes time, so don't come tell me what is epic and what is not.

And I'm not sure what would make this different, except I don't have a dream team like in Apocalypse and I won't have a bullet or lighting system or something as hard as gravity gun etc. Actually I don't even know how to make a bullet system or a weapon like gravity gun.

And yes after the Apocalypse is released I will host it in bnet and try it, but I hope you will like my map too and have fun with it. And if you have some suggestions later for my map I will think them through.

So really I don't know what will be different with this map and Apocalypse because I'm not the one making Apocalypse.

take it easy man.. I wasnt flaming you, just asking what makes this different. With epic I ment Whole shit made custom, like apo.

I'm just saying that the main problem is that when apocalypse comes, it will be the only zombie survival map hosted in Bnet. Sad but likely the truth. and seems like there's no real difference in the content between apo and zaf

Well I can host whatever I want if it is my map. I don't care how different these maps are and I won't know until Apocalypse is released.

And no it won't be the only survival map I have already seen many survival maps before.

I just want to know why there's a fucking mountain giant in a city. Excuse my language again.


Suggestions:
-Try using fitting terrain or it will be cliche terrain like NOTD AM or UD
-Try using fogged sky, it looks better and more errie
-Why are they're bushes in a destroyed city? If the buildings are ruin why would bushes survive?????
-No fox holes or craters from destruction?
-environmental factors like rain or snow, or even wind makes it even more epic

Actually inside the game it might not be so destroyed. Secondly I can't find any dead bushes etc. anywhere.
