Building won't construct (pathing?)

I modified a tent to be a castle. However when I buid the castle there is no green outline which shows where you can build or not. And there peasant will only constuct the castle for for 1 second and stops. The Building just sits there and you cannot continue constructing. I think this is because I have different pathing.

For the default castle the pathing is 16x16simpletga but the only choices I get when I modify the pathing is Standart 16x16 or Goldmine 16x16. Whichever I chose, they don't seem to work. I have to somehow change the pathing from standard to 16x16simpletga .

I have tried to use the Unit Editor found on this website, but when I import and change everything and export back to war3, all my custom units are modified and unusable in triggers which I spent 4 weeks creating.

Help? Anyway to make my hall with pathing 16x16simpletga instead of 16x16 standard?

I don't want tent's pathing, I need castle's pathing. And how do you copy and paste in the unit editor? No such command that I see.

Command? You don't need commands to copy and paste. Always has been CTRL+C for copy and CTRL+V for paste. These are global hotkeys which you can use in practically any program, so REMEMBER THEM :D
CTRL+X is also cut but its mostly useless with text since you can use copy and delete it. I only use it when I'm moving files :)

You still don't understand, you CANNOT copy and paste Pathing in the unit editor in war3.

Anyway it might not be the pathing. What would prevent a peasant from constructing a building? It can build some but not others so it's not the peasant's fault. I can send you the map so you can look at it.

Thanks. It's sort of an inside joke because my bro always says the sun is a big ball of cancer. Since night elves are all about moon stuff, i figured that wisps were the opposite of the sun, and therefore anti-cancer...

sorry, but you all only know half of wtf your talking about ;)

"Loofy, you cant copy and paiste cus you have a NEWB version of WE. Get a real version of UMS 3.5 at umsmaps.com or org or something."
He has a real version. He cant copy and paste because he didnt change the UnitEditorData.slk to allow him to make it a string. DLing that does the same thing you can do.

"You still don't understand, you CANNOT copy and paste Pathing in the unit editor in war3. "
If you make it a string you can. Thats the crucial part.

"Anyway it might not be the pathing."
Its not

"What would prevent a peasant from constructing a building? It can build some but not others so it's not the peasant's fault. I can send you the map so you can look at it."
Dont remember exactly, but I *think* you cant base your custom unit off a neutral unit.

why cant any of you be helpful? ;)
also, you can make your own pathing TGA if you really wanted. ;)

Thanks for the simple and to the point post. I am trying to download UMS editor right now, but the files section at umsmaps.com is down (I think). I will copy and paste it then.

UPDATE: Some fool has been hammering the umsmaps.com server with requests and thus causing the file section to be shut down. Now I can't get my editor. Arghhhhh stupid pathing.

Got the map, changed the pathing to EXACTLY match the Castle. Still can't construct. Help ? =( Maybe someone could look at the map? =)

I replaced the Wyvern Cage (2) to a Castle. I changed EVERYTHING to match the Castle. The only things that are different are

Name
Gold Cost/lumber cost
Supply usage/provision
Sight
Toolkey
Description

I'm assuming that the Wyvern cage is a neutral unit.

Create a new custom unit, BASED on the castle, and then chnge that stuff. In my experiance, peasents CAN NOT BUILD NEUTRAL OR NEUTRAL CUSTOM UNITS.

Sorry for yelling.

Ahhhh there lies the problem mate.... I am all out of room with Custom Units... all filled up. I am forced to convert other units.

If I change Human/Orc/Undead/NE buildings to what I want then the peasant will build them? I need to know before I start converting all the buildings I created with neutral units. It will take me a LONG time and I want to make sure what I am going is sound. But your hypothesis seems right because I can make buildings I changed from normal units and can't build ones I converted from neutral.
