Hmm.. You should take the screenshots from the Editor.

1. Hold CTRL and drag the right (Or left, forgive me if i'm wrong!) mouse button around to angle the camera.

2. Press V to enable game mode, where it will show how it will somewhat look in the game.

3. Go into Scenario, go to Map Options, and enable fog. Play around with the fog until you find what fog you like.

4. Go in Scenario, go to Map Preferances, and choose a sky that you like. Also, you can set the time of the day the editor displays it as.

Try to angle the camera so it shows a good atmosphere but also what you've done with with surface.

Anything.
You shouldn't use so many colours in the same picture.

In the first one, try to tint the grass a little bit, remove the player colour, and perhaps add a bit of fog for environment.

For the second one, it looks fine for a playable map, but it's very flat. Also, try to make the buildings realistically sized - the units are larger than the doors!

For the third one, sink the volcano further into the island and hide the purple boxes when taking screenshots. Did you use the tutorial on TheHelper?

Picture 1: cool, like the idea about the gargoyle statues, just need to make them neutral passive, to remove the blue color. Also i think it's to "cliffy" for a graveyard.

Picture 2: I think you could use some better transitions.

picture 3: My favourite. The only anoying thing is the fire at the right side of the picture. Should be placed somewhere farer away from the envoirement.

But else it's good work for a "begginer" =)
