Title: RS2.5 (Radiant Silvergun 2.5) - Ikaruga Reloaded
Genre: Arcade Shoot-em-up
Project start date: 15th November 2007, Ongoing

Objectives:
-Design an Arcade shooter engine in Warcraft 3.
-Design a Multiplayer co-operative gaming map with replayability value.
-Game must be fun/challenging, not too easy, not too difficult.
-Improve programming skills, Learn to use JASS.

I will try to break down this project into parts to make it easier to keep track of how the project is coming along.

Stages:
1) Core Movement engine
2) Core Shooting engine
3) Collision detection system
4) Initialization, Plane select/ Upgrades
5) Enemy Design
6) Terrain/Level Design
7) Sound effects?
8) Model skinning?
9) Cinematics?
10) Tutorials

I'm inviting any interested parties to help on this project for the following:
-Terrain/Level Design
-Model reskinning?
-I presume i will need someone to help me with JASS as well as i am still quite new at it.
Feel free to contact me if you are interested.

*Please note i still don't have much of an idea how i will go about each stage of the project as of now. From past experience rushing wont be a good idea. Suggestions are welcome and i thank everyone who contributes to this project and helps to make it a success

Im serious about making this map. I believe it will be a great challenge and an enriching experience to anyone who might be interested. I would really like to make this a success and i will work on it whenever i get the chance to.

Current Developments:
Stage 1: <IIII(20%)IIIIIIIIIIIIIIII>
Trying to figure out ship movements. Using arrow keys alone leads to quite a choppy result... Advanced triggers will be required. 15/11/07

Looks alright as an idea, but I believe it's supposed to be in the Project Recruitment forum. I think it needs more detail though.

So...basically...you want someone to do 90% of the work for you (ie: a JASSer)? Really, my advice is leave this project in a draw somewhere, and come back to it when you know JASS (and vJASS for that matter). I mean properly know JASS.

You should learn JASS first and start such projects then. Most parts of such project really require o be written in JASS.

VGsatomi did a shooter, why dont u search for it?, I believe he left his maps unprotected, u could learn from it but it had very problems with the key detection...

Well, to be frank, Id like to do all the programming myself since its sort of a part time hobby of mine. I used to program maps, only thing is i did it in GUI.. which has its limitations. Which is why id like to learn JASS. Ive learned some programming languages before, so its just a matter of familiarization.

Im really bad with terraining and storyline though.. ive no idea what it takes to make a game level look good. Ill be workin on this mostly solo i believe.. but the floors open to ideas, really hope this will get somewhere.. alot of times i didnt manage to accomplish maps that i wanted to make because of my limited knowledge. Gameplay is another thing id really like to put emphasis on.. wouldnt wanna waste tonnes of time making a map if no ones gonna bother playing it after all.

Well, to be frank, you can't yet. So go learn JASS with other projects that have easier jass, and then maybe come back to this.
