***Updated*** Hi! I want the following: 1. messeges displayed at the "Game Interference" 2. with multi colours 3. player names if possible. ---------------------------------------------------------- 1. worked but bad would require some help on redoing it. 2. I couldn't find a way to use multi colours. 3. No idea... ---------------------------------------------------------- why don't I use the normal message display? Because its used to display other things such as kills and more... I have been experimenting with this and come up with a scratch about how to do it in gui, don't judge me for that map. But you'll understand what I want and why. :D Just check it out please. Inter.w3x I hope you come up with a more efficient way to do this. If you look at the map... You can see I did the following... - changed the Game Interface *Text - General - 'completed:' (the one that says what building has been constructed.) to nothing - when I want I order a dummy to build a unit with the message as name I want to display. problems: - The building takes time to build. |

No, you can't modify those in-game. But you could fake it with text messages, sounds, and a few triggers. |

Yes, you can use fake text messages to appear like real ones. |

I don't have UMSWE on me at the moment, but there's a command in UMSWE's GUI that allows you to generate text at certain coordinates, perhaps someone else could expand on this if I don't quite make it to UMSWE by the time someone works it out. It's something along the lines of "Text at X/Y" |

Check the tutorials section. Custom text: http://www.wc3campaigns.net/showthread.php?t=80691 Error messages: In the world editor select the menu advanced, then select Game Interface. Don't forget to select Use Custom Game Interface. For that gold one you just need to search. Some interface graphics (you cannot change the sizes) After game starts You can only use trigger tricks: Like using the item slots as extra hotkeys. By using hero icons (you know the ones that show up on the top left for each hero you have) you can use the hotkeys F1, F2, F3, etc... I don't know how many you can have. Use can use trackables that detect mouse movement and mouse clicks. WARNING: cannot be removed/edited, stops you can select units, may mess up unit movement (the clicking to move), etc... I suggest you don't use these. |

I hate when people lead me to the wrong way and think i suck. (maybe not your intention) Zandose I did already know this. But thx for trying :) But I have myself to blame for making it so unclear what I want. I will give a map that i experimted what I wanted, I hope some one will take a look at it and improve the "system" for me. THX. PS: Don't tell me it leak, guess what, I know.. :D |
