Translations and Rotations?

Does anyone know what InTan, OutTan, Hermite, Bezier and how to use these in modelling? I really want to improve my fx making skills so yeah... Also, does anyone know how to fully use rotations and translations like what the numbers mean? Rotations are marked as Sequence #: { #, #, #, # } Does anyone know how rotation works?

Hermite and Bezier are interpolation types. They make it so instead of going straight from one key to the next, it kind of curves around, usually with the intent of making it look smoother. The InTan and OutTan determine the exact path of that curve.

Those 4-number rotation monstrosities are called quaternions. They are for Warcraft's convenience, but are basically impossible the think up manually unless you are a calculator. You can find programs to convert between them and more intuitive Euler angles though.

Dang, looks impossible. So where would I find programs to help me figure out these quaternions? I really want to learn to animate things like making things spin around.
