Guest | It has been a day and no one has responded so Im going to post it here. I have had alot of errors since I started using KMKs script. I read through all the threads and it got rid of all my errors. I usually try to read before I ask but now I have to ask because I have done everything to get just a model of a box to work and im starting to get frustrated. I am able to export without any errors (finally) but the mdx file wont show up at all in the game. I am using 3DS Max 5.0 on Windows 2000 and MDX Importer/Exporter v2.0 The attached file is on this thread. http://www.wc3campaigns.com/forums/s...5&pagenumber=5 |

I have this same problem too. What you do is click on the hammer, and choose run maxscript. Then load up a script, but make sure it appears in the box. Now load up the implementor and select it in the dropdown box. It will run then. Im not sure why it requires you to do this, but for whatever reason it wont run unless you select it after you selected another program. |

Nah, he said he was able to export without any problems, but it doesn't show up in game. The common proiblem people have is not fixing the apth to the textures. If WarCraft III can't find the texture, it will not display it at all. If your file is named MyBox.mdx, then the texture path the script sets is Textures/MyBox.blp You have to use Yogbul's File Converter to convert it an MDL file, and then edit the texture path by hand, then converter the MDL back to an MDX. |

Guest | I made sure that the path was right and I did edit the mdl and converted it back to mdx. Still didnt work. I downloaded an mdx viewer and I viewed the model and nothing shows up but when I view a model extracted from war3.mpq I am able to see it. So I think it has something to do with exporting the model out of 3DS max. I downloaded a model that someone created and opened it up in 3D Max and didnt edit the model I just exported it and the mdx now wont show up. So its how im exporting it. But im not getting any errors. Wierd. If anyone can look at the mdx and tell me what I did wrong, please. |
