Downtime

12-02-2007, 09:01 AM#1
Tim.
Sorry about the confusing downtime recently. On the 11th the domain expired and I had not checked my e-mail until tonight. I just renewed it for the next 2 years so you all should not have any further problems.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

How much does it cost to keep the domain up for a year?

Or is that "private" knowledge?

huh, The name servers for this domain (wc3campaigns.net) are incorrectly configured. Please contact your domain name administrator for further assistance.

Tim...how could you...

You've deprived us of the same thing happening next year!

*sighs*

We have to keep up the tradition of six-monthly downtime.

Yes! It's a Christmas tradition, and you've stripped that away from us! How heartless.

It's okay, Tim. Things turned out in the end.

Hm, the domain name thingy still does not seem to be fixed. wc3campaigns.net still is not found, I just got here using hilton.gw.oiccam.com, which I found using Google.
You should get this fixed soon because as long as it is not found it is something like a hidden site nobody will find who does not really try to find it - this will kill the community. I would have been here much more often the last weeks, but you were not reachable, so I gave it up until now...
Good luck fixing this!

For the last time, it is not the same problem, try using wc3campaigns.net and it will timeout it will not return server not found.

Thanks for the useful advice...

From what Tim told me this problem requires some domain administrator to fix a mis configuration, until that we have to wait.

OK, sorry if I was not precise enough. Thanks for the up to date information!

Yay! It's back up! (I would have to sort through the H-word if it weren't)

If you would have used http://hilton.vs.oiccam.com/index.php you could have continued viewing the page even when the dns/domain name wasn't working.

I got the email for it already, and used the resources section alot. By the way, why is Paris Hilton fighting Oiccam... and what is "oiccam"?
